So the two were close and had that bond between them, almost like him and Adi maybe. At least neither of them had to save each other's hide...yet. Ben had to admit, he hadn't noticed the extra appendage belonging to the charms professor, a bit distracted with what was going on and his thoughts on the matter of what they had both escaped from. However when Flamsteed seemed to go all batty over it, it wasn't hard to notice the feline tail.
"Professor Bellaire claimed it," he remarked in answer, nodding simply at Quigley's assurance they would get it back. Benny certainly hoped so, preferably still intact. As for the story as to what had happened, the Gryffindor was more then glad to let Professor Maddox play the storyteller. It all had been his idea from the beginning and when he let himself think on it, Benny couldn't help but wonder if he had nearly planned on the interruption as well. He certainly had enjoyed the backtalk to Bellaire if not the amphibian transformation.
He listened at the tale that was being told and while it wasn't totally what had happened, it was the gist of things. The Gryffindor was almost tempted to point out that the fountain that had done the most change to the office hadn't been his idea, but he doubted it made much difference.
