In an ideal world, it would have worked like a waiter yanking a tablecloth out from under dishware and place-settings without a thing being jumbled.

So what was she doing so wrong, that the book seemed more stuck than before? Amur leaned close, so close that her nose was almost touching the sticky note on his nose. Maybe she wasn't doing it fast enough. Those waiters just wiped tablecloths free.

Only problem was, this was someone's noggin that would go 'smack' off the table if she didn't do it right. Humming and hawing, Amur drew back and gave the boy a stink eye. Really. Why was he being so difficult about this? All she wanted to do was borrow the book, and she had even been kind enough to leave a note. He deserved a head thwacking for all the trouble that she was going through.

But then, wasn't there a -- ah ha!

Amur snapped her fingers and drew out her wand, pointing it at the table. And then she paused. Cushioning charm would work, but what if it didn't cover the portion of the table that the book was under. Then it would do absolutely no good. Amur eyed the mop-head for a moment before making her decision and casting the cushioning charm on the table. Hopefully, it worked. If it didn't, she had fast, but short, legs.

Satisfied with herself, Amur tucked her wand under her arm, grabbed firm hold of the edges of the book and offered an apology. "Sorry if this doesn't work. But while your head's heavy with all that hair, my curiosity is greater. So, you understand right? Right. Well then, best of luck and sweet dreams."

And all that. With pleasantries out of the way, Amur YANKED the book free.

The girl's one-sided conversation covering her tracks and actions were met with seemingly deaf ears. No apology was registered to Benjamin Atreyu's mind and it wasn't as if he was even aware that there was something planned to possibly disturb his sleep. The sleep itself had been unplanned and the boy was in his own little world of dreams and peaceful measures outside the realm of school and professors.

Even with the cushioning charm on the table, successfully cast if you really wanted to know, the sudden removal of the book beneath him caused the fifth year boy's head to fall swiftly onto the softened wooden surface of the desk beneath it. Not quite with a thunk of body hitting hard surface but there was a whispered sound as one thing hit another. The dozing Benny groaned in response to the jerked movement and his eyes flickered for several moments behind his heavy eyelids as if he waking up.

But there wasn't an immediate reaction from the rest of his body and removal of the lion from his slumber. Instead his breathing from his nose gradually changed and started to rustle the parchment attached making another random sound. Which in turn started to nag at the Gryffindor that the offending breathing was coming from.

"Wha...?" Benny asked sleepily, still very much in a daze and half asleep. His eyelids ever so slightly lifting to allow a thin bead of light in his eyes causing another groan.
