Zander poked his head up for a brief moment, watching his Professor-- wait. Was Flamsteed trying to call the rock over? Uh. Maybe all those stars had really gone to his head or something. Fumes from mars, maybe? First treating the tie as if it was a human being and now treating a rock like it was a cruppy? Something was real weird about this. Even Zander thought so. And that was saying something. Ahem.
At the sight of Sophie's hand-waving, the Gryffindor shook his head (though she couldn't see it because... anyways) "I only said that to make you happy." Or because she had walked him into a trap or something? Either one of those worked. But the latter meant that he had to admit to being defeated.
AND Of course, Zander had accidentally touched a testy subject or something as he listened to his Professor lightly reprimand him for the way he referred to 'being a nerd' as a bad thing. Oops. He waited as Sophie crawled over to put her head against his again, before getting up himself and doing the same. "I.. I didn't mean that it was a bad thing." Well... Sort of. "I like all of those things, but... I dunno, doesn't being nerdy mean you spend all your time in the library? And that you actually enjoy homework and stuff?" He waited for Sophie to crawl over again, before doing the same and making his way over to her other side.
"And I don't do those things," he laid down once more, letting his head just barely touch Soph's.
