The irritation against Professor Bellaire's less than stellar statistical analysis was being widdled away by the presence of the elf. And that voice. That all too familiar voice. Amur's eyes slid over her shoulder and widened a little bit when they locked with the Headmistresses. Somehow, in her indignation, she had forgotten the woman was there.
And no, she didn't miss the pointed questions. In fact, they nearly had her sticking her tongue out at the woman. But she managed to keep it behind locked teeth on account of not wanting to loose it. No thank you. Nuh huh.
Pinching her lips together with two fingers, in order to avoid asking the elf her own questions, which she thought were unbiased, Amur slipped over to the two boys (Gabriel and Toby) and nestled herself between them. They were tall, kept her from the view of the Professor's and frankly easy to hide behind if she did end up saying something. She prided herself on being able to compete with boys, and defend herself all on her own, but at the moment when it came to going head-to-head against two Professor's, this seemed like the safer option. She was proud, not stupid.
She released her lips long enough to offer the boys a "Hello" before pinching them shut again. Too tempting to say anything more than that. Tooooooo tempting....
What was this? One of the boys was drawing? Standing up on her tipie-toes, Amur tipped her head and tried her best to peer at the drawing from the corner of her eyes. Why were they all sooo tall?
