That was pretty cool, how some people could already be done with this cycle and others nowhere near it. Like, it wasn't a cycle with a definitive time placed on it; it all depended on your name. That made Toby even more EXCITED about looking for his OWN cycle thingy.
RIGHT THEN. Let's get STARTED. Toby bounced MOAR in his seat as the energy built and built inside him, and he felt like a rocket about to take off or something. Best to try and SHAKE some of that energy out with his arms and legs yEP YEP YEP. ANd then... to work. Okay. COOL.
SPOILER!!: Parchment
Transit Cycles
T = 2 (ages 0, 1, 2) (strain, high strung emotions, eager to learn/gain knowledge, stuff about travelling, seeing the world)
O = 6 (ages 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) (strong emotional experiences, responsibility on shoulders with sensitive emotional issues)
B = 2 (ages 9, 10) (more emotional and shy, strong need for love, improvement in career due to sensitivity and diplomacy, people attracted to and want to help)
I = 9 (ages 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) (very emotional time with many ups and downs, high strung, vulnerable to stress, accident prone, need to chill out, must control moods)
A = 1 (age 20) (period of change, activity, progress, and creativity, independence and leadership, travel and change of residence, potential for real breakthrough in awareness and perspective of life)
S = 1 (age 21) (feelings run deep & higher awareness than usual, rebirth and awakening, freedom, change, exciting time of surprises and extraordinary events)
2 + 6 + 2 + 9 + 1 + 1 = 21
Merlin, okay, so... just from what Toby had thought about so far with this thing, it seemed pretty accurate. Like freaky accurate. Like accurate to the point where Toby was suddenly very convinced that his name had essentially dictated his life and decided at once that that was another thing on the LIST OF THINGS to side-eye ye olde birth parents for.
BUT YEAH. Anyway. Now to... share? OKAY. HAND: UP.
"Soooo, MY physical thingy lasts 'til I'm twenty-one. My name begins with T too and I've already said what I think about those two years, so I'll skip that." Just, y'know, 'cause otherwise he'd be repeating the same stuff. Couldn't exactly tailor it to suit his own life as he didn't remember anything from back then.
"Then from age three to age eight there's, ahem, strong emotional experiences, lots of responsibility to deal with and like to do with sensitive emotional issues." Toby cleared his throat awkwardly there, because it was all accurate and he didn't really want to go there. Soooo quickly moving on and not looking in Soph's direction, as she was the only one in here who knew about stuff.
"Then, age nine and ten, more emotional-" Like seriously with all the emotional stuff? Dude.
"-and... and a strong need for love and everything." Hurrying past THAT TOPIC TOO and staaaaring at the parchment as he fidgeted about.
"Next there's ages eleven to nineteen, where I obviously am now. Tons of ups and downs, highly strung and vulnerable to stress and accident prone and all that, says about needing to learn to control moods, which is... yeah."
Toby glanced up and fidgeted nervously with his parchment. This wasn't fun anymore, but after a brief pause he just went on and cheerfully finished the rest, though speaking impressively fast.
"Age twenty, time of change and progress and independence and leadership which makes sense 'cause I'll be a proper adult and all that. Age twenty-one, feelings run deep and there's lots of freedom and lots of change and an 'exciting time of surprises and extraordinary events' which is good." WHEW. BREATHE.
"... And that's it."
Done, okay. Cool. BOUNCING MORE BOUNCING OMG COULD HE DO THOSE STAR JUMPS NOW PLS.
