Of course while her attention was diverted looking for someone she didn't know something disappeared from her hand. "Whaaaa-" she gasped snapping her head back to her now candyless fist. "I thought you just said they were gross!" That second phrase had more of a hard edge to it than a joke: this boy was lucky he wasn't messing with the Tora of a few years ago. That Tora would have bit his head off. But she smiled to curb the exclamation. All friends here! Though she didn't like that smug face he was making.
Oh geez. Now he wanted to dance with her? Didn't he have that other lady love to dance with...right he couldn't find her. Tora eyed the dance floor warily. "All right." she said. "But we should be productive about it too. What's her name? We can shout it randomly as we dance by people and see if she responds." it would be a fun way to cover a lot of searching area.
"You owe me another one of those feathers by the way," she muttered to her partner as she took his arm at the start of the next song. "Channel your inner graceful" she muttered, but this time to herself.
"Actually they're disgusting. But I had to prove a point, and I am a gentleman." He wasn't entirely sure if that was what gentlemen did, mainly because he wasn't one. But the whole aura of the night had him feeling like one. Maybe he would try this out more often. It was fun. But he was glad that she didn't try to attack him or anything. That would not have made this night fun. And he was all about fun.
"Ophelia." That was her name. She was right, they could be productive about it, but maybe being on the dance floor would help. If Ophelia were here, she could see him out on the floor and come up to him. When the next song came up, Austin took the girl around her waist, and began dancing. He tried to be a gentleman and keep his focus on her, but he was too busy looking around for Ophie. He called out her name a few times, but there was no response. She had to be somewhere. Everyone who attended Hogwarts seemed to be here. All but one.
"Next Hogsmede trip I'll buy you some more." That's what gentlemen did, right?
