be curious, not judgmental Diligently following along after Flamsteed with her sketchpad out in front of her, Sophie realized right away that joining his group might have been a bad idea, solely because the man was going to have them be VERY task-oriented and... well, considering last time she was with Quigley, the likelihood that she would have as much fun was... probably slim.
At least she had Zander, though, and so far, they were having a fine time, weren't they? They had done a good job sketching things and working as a team, and every now and then Soph would prod Zander's side to get a reaction out of him or ruffle his hair to get him to smile - the quiet, subtle kind of joking around when Flamsteed wasn't looking, but she was certain the man knew when they were opting to be goofs instead of sketching because, really, he wasn't daft.
The thunk, thunk, thunk of Pebbles colliding with the floor probably aided in distracting, though, too, and still provided for some comic relief - perhaps not to the professor, but to Sophie, at least. "Got it, Captain," she saluted Flamsteed in jest at his suggestion, but didn't process what he said until after he'd said it. Merlin, he really wanted them to be precise and... sigh, of course he wanted them to be scientific about it. The man was a bloody scientist.
"Let's rock 'n roll, Zanderpander," she advised, sounding more cheerful than she was as she went ahead to start against one wall and start to walk forward - but then she stopped and paused, running her free hand through her hair thoughtfully. "How do we make our results as best as they can be for this room, professor? Is it... I mean, would it make sense if Zander and I both did it, then we like... took the average between our results to get a better idea of how far across it is? Or...? Whaddya recommend?" Details, details. And her past groups hadn't been this specific in their mappings. It was probably best this way, really, but she wanted to ensure that she did things to Flamsteed's approval.
