This girl, Marigold observed, was VERY confident. Marigold wanted her confidence. Envied it, even, though the anonymity made it quite a bit easier for her to talk to people and feel good about herself. She took a cue off the snorting girl stranger and struck a power pose, legs apart, shoulders back. Marigold McAlistor wasn't gonna take bad energy from nobody. SPOILER!!: Kace Quote:

I mean he could live without his friends and girlfriend and make some new memories instead of sticking to one group. "You sure you don't need a ride?" he offered. I mean he offered to be her prince in shining armor. "No pretty lady like you should be standing here all alone." he smiled.
Marigold nodded along with the boy. "Anonymity is pretty helpful and cool, especially at this kinda charade." The masked ball type. Pretty awesome, if you ask her, and not just because she helped make it all possible.
No pretty lady like her should be standing alone? The first part of the sentence made her glow a little in pride, but then she was confused. Because she was pretty, she had to be riding with someone, namely, a boy? Wasn't that weird? Like, why did she need to accompany a boy when she could just strut her stuff by herself? "No thank you," she politely declined. SPOILER!!: Hugo Quote:

He flinched when the pretty girl whispered her name. She was too close, TOO CLOSE. But don't matter, he was fine, except he was blushing. The girl was too nice and she was pretty and he was nervous. "Your name is nice too" said with a shy smile. See? He can compliment like a boss. Sure. This time he wasn't going to messed up.
To be honest, he didn't expected Marigold to know from who was the mask, but she did and she gained like a million points with him. "You know who Wolverine is? You are cool!" said excited. She was allowed to hang out with him "Umm...do you wanna go for a ride...with me?" he asked and looked down. NO, what are you doing? He had to be a man, a confident man. Hugo looked up, crossed his arms and smiled. Confidence
Her name was pretty? Marigold's face broke apart into a grin. "You think so? I'm not a huge fan." Of her name, that is. She was definitely a fan of cutie!Hugo. He was small and therefore not a threat, pluuuus, he thought she was pretty, AND he knew Wolverine. Like, A BILLION brownie points from her. Hehe, when this was all over, maybe she would make him brownies and TOTALLY engulf him with sugar randomly. That would be super funny. "My grandpapa was a muggle, so he introduced me to all the good stuff. Wolverine is AWESOME, plus, I got Star Wars experience and stuff like that. I'm a huge fan of ALL THAT." Then he died, so she inherited all his fanboy paraphernalia.
OH NO. She didn't want to let him down. "Hugo, I'm really really sorry, but, 'coz I'm a prefect, I have to stay here and watch over everybody. But maybe later you and I can dance? When my shift is over and things?" SPOILER!!: Cossy Quote:

It didn't matter AT ALL if Marigold really had a male friend to begin with. This would surely confuse the girl anyway. HEHEHEH.
He could only hope she wouldn't see his gray hair behind the mask.
omg. MARIGOLD HAD FORGOTTEN ONE OF HER BEST FRIENDS AND THEY WERE SUPER ANGRY AT HER AND SHE HAD THROWN HER HANDS UP TO HER MOUTH BEFORE TOTALLY THROWING HER ARMS AROUND HER FORGOTTEN FRIEND. "I am SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY!" she said loudly into his ear, hoping for forgiveness. "FORGIVE ME PLEEEEASE!!!!!!!"
She would figure out who on earth it was later.

She felt... at a loss, being so anonymous. Anonymity felt too much like irrelevance for her liking, and that didn't feel good at all.
Ruby hadn't planned on coming out here alone, but she wasn't having as much luck as she was accustomed to inside. APPARENTLY her face was useful when it came to attracting male attention. Not that she hadn't known that, but like, she was okay with a bit of objectification SOMETIMES, and she looked nice in her dress, right? Anyway, she'd decided she'd try and do the carriage thing.
She waited for an empty one, and hopefully company so she wouldn't be sitting in one all alone and lame.
Lame was soooo not her style. SPOILER!!: Cutty Quote:

He was in the mood for risk, having to administer his own potion.
The rubbery material that constituted Cutty Mordaunt's soul felt lighter, even more than usual, he noted as he stepped into a carriage and took a seat on the lushy green seats. He felt like a new wizard entirely.
Tonight was going to be a good night.
Two more new people, gorgeously dressed. She immediately liked them both. "HIYA. If there's anything you need, I'm your man! Well, not really. I'm your girl, I mean."
