Alright so it was part of it, but only part. He raised an eyebrow at her final words to him...the part about her not biting.
Almost sounded like Angel's smart mouth.
Again he momentarily debated, taking another sip of his drink. "Well I suppose it wouldn't hurt," Benny said, finally giving in and setting his glass down and out of the way. This time he was the one who held out his hand to her, albeit still a little tentatively.
"Shall we?"
Okay, he still sounded hesitant. But, she meant what she said about not biting. Plus, wouldn't it be weirder to be just standing here the entire time with people dancing all around?
"Great." she replied, taking the guy's hand and letting him lead. 'Cause, you know, polite thing to do and all.
"So, what do you think of this whole 'no one recognizes anyone' thing?" Surely, he had connected that and the weird feeling at the entrance.
"Everyone seems to have worked really hard on this, huh?" At least they knew no one could sneak in. Place was like a fort! And hopefully, they had warned the giant spiders to stay away.
