Adi's voice had abandoned him Try as he might to utter one word, nothing came out. He merely shrugged in reply. So this was Angel's doing, huh? Another confirmation that this was indeed AJ. Anyway, good going, Angelfish! But obviously she had failed in the shoes department. Not that Adi really cared since AJ's style was one of the reasons he loved her.
What Adi really wanted to do was choke out his laughter to AJ's reactions to what he was saying. Did yal know how SUPER hard it was for him to keep his amusement hidden. He bit down on his lower lip to keep it from curling upwards. "Well, I'm Batman,'' he spoke up, trying to imitate Batman's voice. "You're safe with me.'' Look at that he was getting more words out though stares kept happening.
Adi stepped up to one of the carriages then held out his hand to help AJ up. After helping her in, he got in beside her. The spells cast around the area were working just right. She hadn't remembered that he would be dressed in a Batman mask.
The Hippogriffs did their job. The moment the passengers were seated, their appointed Griff took off, carriage in tow. "You look great, by the way.'' Adi snuck a side glance at the girl beside him, catching her looking at him. She wouldn't recognise him, riiiight?
Words seemed to fail him again, and AJ couldn't help but wonder if the person behind this mask was someone that she knew. A name came to mind, and before she could stop herself, a question was hurtling out of her mouth.
"Is it you, Zander?" He was always a man of few words, and he had been known to clam up around her. Truth be told AJ most likely frightened him.
AJ smiled up at him.
Well, Batman, let's get this show on the road." His imitation was pretty spot on too.
"Nice impersonation... catwoman approves." Too bad she didn't have any cat ears for her costume. Oh well, it was a minor flaw.
"Such a gentleman, batman." AJ took hold of his hand and heaved herself into the carriage. Once her companion was beside her, she looked out the window. There were tons of lights, and it really did look gorgeous. Then the mystery man complimented her, and in spite of it all she beamed.
"Thank you. You look very handsome yourself." It was the truth.
Soon, the carriage started to move, and AJ couldn't help but to be amazed by the view. It got better and better with every inch forward.
"It's beautiful." Looking back at batman a glimpse of something out of his window caught her eye.
"Oh, look," she said as she leaned over him to get closer to his window. Realizing that she was practically in his lap, she sat back up.
"I'm sorry. It's just I thought I saw a unicorn." She could stay on her side of the carriage.
Zander? Hehe. Nice guess, AJ. Adi did know his fellow prefect did speak less. By the way, now that he was slowly getting his speech back, it was DIFFICULT for him to say so few words. The moment he got bubbly and talkative AJ would know it was him.
"Not Zander. But I am a Gryffindor fifth year.'' How was his imitation of Benny's voice? Because that's whom he had in mind. Adi was sticking to someone he knew well. That way he could be more convincing.
Was that who AJ had told him she'd be almost dressed like? Catwoman? Man, as much as he tried to remember, it proved futile. Oh well.
"I aim- I mean I'm glad you approve.'' Oh gosh. He almost said the phrase that would have AJ recognise him IMMEDIATELY. That was another way to figure him out. LOL.
"I have my moments, Catwoman. Thank you.'' Adi supposed he did look good. Cue more side glances. He turned to look out of the window. Darn, he did want to run his mouth right about now with chatter. This speaking less thing was hard, yo! And then she was leaning over him
"No worries. It sounds like you're obsessed with unicorns.'' His eyes were still focused on outside. He recognised some of the plants around since there were similar to the ones in the Greenhouses. Not the dangerous ones, of course.
