It was definitely weird, he agreed. And MAYBE it wasn't really a big deal and was the sort of rule that was okay to break? But it seemed she'd decided against introductions, so he was okay going along with that. At least, partly.

"Maybe we could just make up a nickname to use?" David suggested. "Like for me, you could call me Mr. Awesome." He grinned. Totally legit nickname right there, he thought.

Aaaand someone else had decided to join. Another David didn't recognize, which was basically the theme of the event.

He nodded. Yup, they'd been talking about the same thing. "I guess that's supposed to be part of the fun. And getting to come up with new nicknames." Which he thought was fun, but whether they'd go along with it, he didn't know.
