She could go to the healer and get fixed whenever she wanted to. She could stop treating it like it was still a duel whenever she....

Sabel blinked and frowned deeply. Was it pride, or was she trying to prove something? That she could handle it? That she could deal if this was a real life situation? Just as he had done years ago. Just as they had been dueling now, few bars held.

That decided it. If that was the reason, it needed to be broken. And there was only one way to do that.

Shifting his weight, Sabel took hold of her good arm by the elbow and her shoulder and pulled her to his feet as he stood. He did it in the most gentle, slow and measured way possible so as not to jar her, but he made it evident in his grip that he wasn't going to let her go or relent. They were going to stand. And if she fought him, it would be her own darn fault for any pain that resulted.

"On your feet, soldier."

By now the pain had become a numbing one. There was a distinct throbbing at the joint of her shoulder but the nerves there might have been getting duller. Admittedly not a good sign at all but there was no way she would admit that to Mr. Knows Absolutely Everything Ever so Lex continued avoiding his gaze.

Why the persistence? Anyone else might have left her to her own devices--save a select few far too used to her stubborn nature to pay much attention to it--but no, he was insistent on it. So far she thought she'd been doing a good job of not seeming bothered but that wanting to find some place to curl up for a while was coming back and it COULDN'T happen if Sabel was watching.

Merlin, she'd never live it down--she'd never even get to do it because he'd be there TOO nagging her about a Healer. There was no winning and this bothered her.

Having not been looking at him, the moment he took hold of her elbow caught her off guard completely. "Let. Go." She protested, even as he pulled her to her feet. There was a point where she tried yanking away from him but it was short lived before another sharp jolt of pain ran through the busted arm again.

Pulling away clearly wasn't the answer. The young woman scowled up at him. "Let go of me, now." Movement was a horrible thing, it brought the throbbing back just when she thought it was going dull.
