But that didn't mean that the new department head's order wasn't part of the reason he had come down to the Department of Mysteries. But it was only one reason, the other being his usual rounds on Level 9 as well as a check in with the man who was the rare department he might actually call a friendly acquaintance.
Having been familiar with the way the mysterious level worked, as well as his clearance, the security man made his way through the public entrance of the department into the inner bowels.
