She stopped there, but simply because most of these spells had been taught by professor Romanos that not only she should be proficient at casting them, but her classmates as well. "The spells I mentioned are some of the few I'd used as defense. Some of them are offensive, but if used correctly they can be used to protect oneself...or others."

Slowing an opponent by binding them or tickling them with a curse could be enough to buy enough time and thus save your bum. It all came down to how a spell was used because what good would a defensive spell be if used incorrectly.
