Dot was not cowed in the least about her inability to check the room for bad guys or hidden boggarts or whatever. If she wasn't in the school, she'd check, but in the building... was that really her fault? Were they supposed to check everywhere? Like... like EVERYWHERE?
The hand went up. "Should we check for invisible forces under our beds? Under the table in the Great Hall? Everywhere everywhere?" Because what if she got out of her bed and went to the bathroom and came back. Would she have to check under the bed AGAIN? "Also, I know Stupefy and Petrificus Totalus. Those are defensive spells."
