Not for too long, thankfully, but long enough to need to run up to the Divination tower. Long enough to have missed the first couple of minutes.
He'd slipped into the Room of Serenity with an apologetic look towards Professor Morgan, who was still talking. Toby took a seat, noting how relaxing it was in here and hoping he wasn't about to fall asleep again. That would be horribly impolite.
When they were informed to do so, Toby got up and retrieved a book, already flipping through it by the time he sat back down again. He read, trying to get a good idea of this before trying anything out, and at one point looked back up at the professor. "Professor Morgan. How would this work if you tried to do a reading on someone with heterochromia. People whose eyes are more than one colour, I mean. Like, both of my eyes are blue and green, but they usually look mostly blue 'cause of the lighting, so I call them blue. But would that make a difference? And what about someone with one eye one colour and the other eye a totally different colour? Would that be a significant thing?" Toby assumed so. Divination seemed to be the sort of subject where the little things made a big difference sometimes. "Do they maybe get a mixed reading?" It'd be cool if the side of the face that either colour eye was on made any difference, but Toby couldn't see anything about it in the book, so he supposed it wasn't that significant. He flipped through the text some more.
And soon he'd get started and talk to the portraits. Promise. Once his brain had woken up a bit. As the students started to talk with the portraits. She hoped that maybe it could help her learn more about some of them as well. Since they were all so eager to speak these days, it was the perfect time to do some readings and learning. Even the adults could learn some history of the castle and the portrait, she knew she could.
As she walked around she heard Toby's question, "That is a fantastic question." Moving closer to him she beamed, "With a person that has two tones, this means they are a more complex person. You place both in together to figure them out. So let's take your eyes. the green and blue." She flipped through the book and placed her finger down. "It seems your eyes are saying that you are a Pride, impetuousness, but also considerable passion and Forthrightness, gentleness, generosity, loyalty, modesty, and forgiveness, so in your lifetime your eyes are saying that you are caring and passionate, you have generosity and loyal." From what she knew of Toby this seemed to hit spot on. " This is just the beginning forms of oculomancy to determined a persons self, the look into the future it gets a little more in depth with their focus, clearness, eye movements so not just about the color." She glanced around the room to make sure no one else needed her help as well. "Does that make sense?" She gave him snaps for his fabtastic question.
