Hogwarts RPG Name: Amur Neverwinter Fourth Year | *quickly wrapping up and exiting stage right**separate TL from serious business** ~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~ SPOILER!!: Professor Quigley
[QUOTE=DaniDiNardo;11727369]Quite the optimistic little lion wasn't she? "I suppose, but then you'll have to remember that for every spell there is a better one." That was a general rule right there with few exceptions. "Take this one for instance, changing something to a dragon. Entertaining, yes but so are other things you can cast. For transportation, it's much easier with apparition--and then you have places where apparition doesn't work," Like here at Hogwarts, "so another form of magic would be necessary."
Somehow he felt like he'd gone all out on a small tangent of sorts. "The point is, there'll always be something better or more appropriate." And making dragons to fly was possibly one of the least useful for full on survival mode compared to others out there. Still, he wouldn't get too technical about this. It ruined the magic.
He chuckled again, decidedly not bothered by the threat of having the dragons eat him. "It would be a shame, I agree, but so would blowing them up after you'd worked so hard and grown so attached." It was the only logical thing to do if under attack, naturally. Maddox allowed himself a smile after. "I know you won't be any trouble Miss Neverwinter. You're not one of the ones that keep me up some nights." Because Merlin knew there were enough of those.
As for the book. "As, yes, thank you again for the laugh. Don't hesitate to stop by again if you find something else as equally amusing." With another flick the door swung open again. It was a refreshing visit he would admit. And there he went, bursting her private little bubble. Could this dude read minds. She started at him long and hard for a moment before deciding that dragon transportation was the best, and most logical answer. In the end, he was maybe, possibly, probably, right. After all, he was Professor for a reason, but that didn't mean that Amur wasn't determined to remember every spell and find a very good survival use for it. Even if it gave her constant headaches to try and cram it all into memory. She'd make a list, and give it to him to review. Before her final year. Deal sealed.
Blow, them up? Amur blinked at him with wide eyes for a moment. It would have to be from inside the stomach, wouldn't it? That was legit possible. She sighed, unable to come up with a way to save her dragons from that fate. Except for being good and following the rules. But she would think on it. Especially given he was being so cool about her saying she would let things eat him. He was a cool guy. Yup indeed.
"I'll do my best. Not to keep you up. Ever." Cause she liked sleep and she imagined he liked sleep. And Professors were always happier when they were bright-eyed and busy-tailed. It was best, for everyone.
Slipping off her seat, Amur grinned at the Professor. "I'll let you know when I do. Thanks for the talk, Professor Quigley. And the permission." The dragon thing. She grinned again, waved and headed out at double pace.
Time to go make some dragons!
