Not once while Professor Quigley berated them for his stupidity. His mind just kept wandering back to Gregoire being dragged off, and hearing the Professor just opening claim that the snake was most likely dead did not do him any good either.

He was upset, and furious, and he was sure if he spoke his burnt cheek would act up, and his broken rib would bother him. Still though he said something not making eye contact with anyone. "It's just my fault sir. Zander was already taking me out of the Forest when we got ambushed." Aegis was not still very certain why the Acromantula swarm was so close to the Edge, but they were. He couldn't speak for Gregoire...why Frenchie was in the Forest, and according to Quigley...no one could. "I tried to save him"regardless of gender
He hadn't seen the Head Mistress walk in, but he was sure now his fate was sealed.
