After all the talk about why it was a bad idea to own dragons, Amur had legitimately thought she would have to give up her pet rock, and any future of seeing another dragon again. This, was an unexpected turn. She nodded her head eagerly at all the conditions, of which there were only two. Two simple rules. Control and small. She could definitely do that.

"I'll make sure they're no trouble, Professor." Because yes, she was going to charm more than one rock. In fact, she was pretty sure she knew of a pile of stones off near the lake that were calling her name. "And if something happens - which it won't - I'll take full responsibility. I won't snitch you out."

Cause he was a pretty cool dude. Amur turned her rock even faster, just to keep herself from turning it into a dragon right then and there. Patience....patience.

"Oh, that." She giggled and shook her head. "It's not technically mine. I borrowed it from my parents. They are done with it though and it's been collecting dust on my dad's shelf. So, I thought it might come in handy for someone here at the school." She shrugged. "I heard a lot of people link up."

Why was she so surprised? They were not taught in bubbles? Their education was meant to be incorporated in daily life. When would you have an actual reason for needing to make a dragon? Exactly. Maddox chuckled. "Don't seem so surprised. Not ever spell is meant to be of vital importance to your survival in the big world." He did mention a fun class at some point, of course they were free to believe him or not.

And she was promising no trouble with the dragonS. "Excellent." An easy smile spread across his face. "I'd hate to have to string you up to a few of them and have them fly off in different directions." Granted he'd probably actually never but it was a lasting image nonetheless. One he hoped would truly deter her from causing too much of a stir should she amass for herself a little army of dragon.

Nothing personal. Not at all. Just forgive him for being a little apprehensive about leaving a Gryffindor the permission to run rampant with dragons. He'd been a part of the red shirt society for 7 years. It probably wasn't a good idea...but he simply didn't care enough to say otherwise.

The Charms Professor breathed an audible sigh of relief at the confession that the book didn't belong to her. "Good to know. There's no need to be worrying about that sort of thing at this age Miss Neverwinter. Plenty other things to fuss with, places to explore, potions to explore and the like." At this age relationships were generally overrated anyway.
