Esme was still carrying the flower Giles had presented to her, lifting it to her face to inhale its fragrance. Such a sweet and thoughtful gesture it was for him to bring her a flower to take her out, but she knew that to be Giles. He was a sweet and thoughtful man. One that she was happy to, as of late, call her boyfriend. She hadn't expected it to happen but was glad it did the way it had.

She glanced up at the restaurant as they neared it, then grinned as he spoke, glancing over at him. "Oh this is fine. It's a muggle place, isn't it?" she said, lowering her voice in case someone might hear. He knew that she could appreciate that type of thing, having two muggleborn parents. "I'll take a raincheck on fancy though," she added with a chuckle. Not only did she think that would be fun, but a reason to go out again. This was good for today though.

"Thanks," she smiled at him as h opened the door for her and she stepped ahead of him to walk in. Always the gentleman. She waited a moment as he spoke to the host, then took his hand as they followed the server to their seat. "Practice was good." Nothing out of the ordinary there at least. She still found it odd with him not being there but she was starting to get used to it, she supposed. She wasn't sure if they would be dating if they were both still on the same team, so in a way she thought maybe his being traded was for the best anyway. "How was yours? I wish I could come see you play.." Most of their games seemed to be on the same day. Maybe one of them would have a Sunday game soon and she could go watch the Cannons.
