It was the first time that Amur had been in a Professor's office, and admittedly she was a bit of a nervous bundle. Sure it was of her choice, but it didn't make it any more intimidating. At least in a classroom of other students, there were others who could take the attention if things turned south in conversation or interaction, and one could easily slip away. Behind that door, in that office, the only opportunity and chance she would have of that would be to slip off her chair onto the rug as slyly as possible.
If the Professor even had a rug.
Staring at the door, Amur turned her dragon-rock over and over in her hands. She hadn't given it back yet, even after Rocky Felix had returned to his original form, and she had no intentions of giving it back. She adored the rock, and admittedly understood more about how Professor Flamsteed felt about Pebbles.
But it was the book balanced on her knees that was the real object of question. She hoped that Professor Quigley would appreciate it. After all, she was just trying to help.
