She gave him a simple, if slightly stiff, smile. "How's that working out for ya?" Imagine being roommates with Paulie Foster. Surely some hijinks ensued in that place.
Hogwarts kids. Tori found herself nearly grinning like Paulie at the topic, though she let out a snort at his mention of 'seductive looks.' "Great impression," she poked fun at him. "I don't know him either, couldn't tell you anything more than I read on a flier at the festival." Shrug. "If you do have some info you want to share with the Daily Prophet, I could get Kenrick for you... he's doing a write-up on whether or not wrock is good for the impressionable youth." Sounded fancy, didn't she now.
No exploding lemonade, "Aww shucks," Tori winked at him. "Clearly." What was a festival without it? Tori's hazel eyes flicked to Paulie's forearm and then back up to his face, her smile changing into a smirk at his question. Bum tattoos. Pfffffffft. "Wouldn't you like to know," she replied saucily. "Lemme see this one, though," she reached out to gently run a finger over the tattoo on his forearm. Had he always had that? Paulie nodded. Yes. Auggie. August. Golden Boy. All one and the same. He listened as she explained her reasoning for not attending their flat-warming party. 'Busy,' she'd said. It was a generous lie. "Workin' real good, I think. He can laugh off my ridiculousness and and even embraces it on occasion." August WAS a good guy. Paulie was lucky to have him as a friend as well as a flatmate.
It was a pretty good impression, no? His grin remained. Though when Tori offered to get one of her co-workers so that he could swap info on that festival, Paulie waved his hand to supplement his decline. "Nah nah nah. Don't feel like doin' any extra work." Not when the topic was already pretty exhausted at WWN. And you know, he was pretty content just chit chatting with Tori.
He returned the smirk, amused. Yes, he WOULD like to know if Tori Bunbury, Miss Professional here, had a bum tattoo. Somehow he was guessing not, though. Not to mention there was little chance he'd get to see any evidence of it himself. Paulie felt her touch on his forearm and lifted his eyes from the tattoo to her. "Have ya forgotten?" he smiled. He'd gotten it at seventeen, not long before he joined the RAF. In memory of his dad.
