Evie's squeal of delight and slight terror of what lie below echoed through the pipes as she slid down the slide after a few others. Her squeal was followed by a thud and a grunt as she made contact with the floor.
She carefully picked herself up and moved out of the way. Then she followed suit of the others and lit her wand to give her better light. Evie's eyes wandered all around the wide corridor looking at each of the serpents. Could she wander ahead? Because she was already doing so. She wanted to see EVERYTHING. She was in AWE, never before thinking that she would ever EVER be down here. And yet here she was. She was almost curious if it was a scam; if it was fake. How was it THIS easy to get down here? Did that kid even speak real parsletongue? |
