After what seemed to be forever, Lux arrived at the bottom of the slide. It hadn't been so bad besides the part when her butt had touched the hard ground at the start of the Chamber.
Getting to her feet, the redhead looked around curiously while not moving too far away from the tunnel. Best not to get lost down here because that would be scary.
Wanting to see better since it was so dim down here, Lux used Lumos to shine light around her. Everyone else would arrive soon.
OH, GOOD! Somebody else was down here! Kate fought the urge to run to the older girl and hide behind her. She didn't, of course. She just thought about it. She may or may not have been really pale and wide-eyed, though. Nobody would be able to see that down here, would they? Kate pushed herself up off the slide and looked toward the girl again.
"So, umm...what's the plan to get back out of here?" she asked, hoping maybe the older kids knew this information and wouldn't mind sharing. Kate was already getting a little claustrophobic, and the sight of a staircase going upward wouldn't bother her in the least bit right about now.
"I'm Kate, by the way," she added, wanting to at least get on a first name basis with the only other person down here. Was the Headmistress down here yet?
Kate was starting to get a little scared. Wasn't this kind of thing for Gryffindors?
