"Hullo, professor," Dot paused on her way past him and stared up at him with big solemn eyes. "I'm a third year now so I can take your class. Third year, though, so I don't know very much. Or anything, really. Try not to break my brain, on account of I need it later." She shook his elbow before heading off to her seat.
Oh lookit that. The Cutty was there. "Hiiii," she whispered and wiggled her fingers at him.
From his seat, Cuthbert looked up and saw the small snakelette waving. This was perfect. He was going to need someone to take notes up to Beverly every now and again. So he did what any self-interested fifteen year old punk would do and smiled, made eyebrows and waved back.
Welcome to Ancient Runes, young grasshopper. Quote:

This was why Dot wasn't a Ravenclaw. Sigh.
Even though she was still struggling with what the heck a RUNE even was, Dot flipped gamely through the book (skipping over the head print she'd left). What spell could she improve upon by using one of these rune things? HMM?
"Um. Professor? Maybe... maybe you could cast this Haz... Hagalaz with Stupefy? Because it's about disrupting or stopping something? So... " Maybe he could come over and give her a hug now? Because her brain was MELTING, sir.
Cutty found himself liking that way Dot's brain thought. The way he worked over the best solution for either working out or getting into the worst scenario. Something that would always lend like a ring full of keys to try out here and again through life as one found oneself down and out. He mentally stored away this information thinking it might come in handy at some point in future.
Addressing the Professor's question which he asked the class at large to think about, Cutty put his hand up and considered out loud. "
In casting charms that help the growth of plants professor, such as the ones we learn in herbology, we could use Berkana couldn't we?" Like the ones Bentley had taught them to age and grow their BONZAIIIII trees.
