They were going to create dragons? ... Little dragons though, right? Because Toby wasn't sure that a full attendance's worth of kids all transfiguring full-sized dragons in the same room was very wise. He looked from the board to Quigley to Bellaire, but didn't raise his concerns just yet.
But then the demonstration came and it soon transpired that no, it was only little tiny dragons, and suddenly things made more sense. Toby sat and wrote things down and tried to pay attention but mostly just stared at the little dragon. When it was time to start (something he didn't realise for a while, not until he noticed everyone else up and out of their seat going to collect stones) the Hufflepuff cautiously got up out of his seat (cautious because would there be another stand-up-sit-down thing?) and went up to the front of the room to retrieve a rock. He just took the first one that was within reach, not minding too much about the physical properties of the rock, as hopefully it would be a dragon soon enough.
Tobt returned to his seat and set the rock on the desk in front of him. What was the spell again? "Draconifors," he spoke the incantation as he read it from his notes, testing the way it felt as he said it. "Dra-con-if-ors... Draconifors." And he swished his wand from left to right as he aimed at the rock, though not really trying all that hard to get the spell to work just yet. He was only practicing, for the moment. "Draconifors."
Okay. That was enough practice. He should probably think of a specific breed of dragon now before the rock got a full-body makeover. To have it in mind and stuff.
