Post #3 That's Rough Buddy | Be the Flower | Moon & Stars
Oh Merlin!
It was stomping and sniffing around like it owned the place. Beverly wore a proud look on her features. Go stomp, go sniff, go do what dragons do, you beautiful creature. She sighed dreamily. If only she could keep it.
...............Actually...
Bellaire said they weren't going to keep the dragons from today but she didn't say anything about transfiguring more, and Beverly wasn't going to ask. She knew the spell and she'd done it properly. If she focused on it again, she could definitely transfigure another rock into a dragon. Plus, her magic her decisions her casting...her dragons.
Shifty.
It was a plan.
Stifling a smirk that had formed at the thought, Beverly returned her attention on the miniature Antipodean Opaleye. "Opal," she said, deeming that its non-creative name. "Don't jump off the desk." Cupping her hand to where the dragon was about about to dive from, she watched as it froze on its tracks, studying her hand carefully.
It stepped away and stomped the opposite way. She knew that was going to happen. There was no way a dragon could be controlled. Tamed by highly trained tamers, maybe. The thing here was to out smart the creature. There wasn't enough time to bond with it, but she'd try and then go with Plan B.
"Opal," she said firmly. No reason to coo to a dragon. They were tough not babies. "You're going to fall that way too." Beverly attempted to grab it from behind, but it turned and snapped at her.
Oh-ho-ho! Feisty little thing.
"Fine. Jump. Go on." The dragon roared at her, going its own way. Discretely picking up the cage, Beverly swooped it on the side of the desk at the dragon launched off, capturing it and locking it up.
"Sorry." She really was. "But you have to stay here for a bit." Look, it was so angry. Aww.
