Fiery red light shot from the Hippogriff feather core wand towards the rock. Adi watched, transfixed, as the inanimate object began to change... change...change until there was a mini Antipodean Opaleye staring up at him from his desk
It stretched its wings, still staring up at Adi.
"Hi!'' The fifth year could hardly believe he was talking to a real dragon.
"You're one awesome looking dragon, you know.'' The Opaleye had pearly, iridescent scales while its eyes were multi-coloured and pupil- less.
Adi stretched out his left arm.
"Come on. You're in no danger.'' The dragon seemed to agree for it wasted no time in climbing onto Adi's outstretched arm and then onto his shoulder much like Gus the toad did. He let the dragon turn this way and that so it could take in its surroundings and get a glimpse of the other dragons.
About the minutes later, the boy decided it was time for the dragon to get into its cage.
"I have to put you in there now.'' He pointed to the cage.
"But don't worry. You'll be alright.'' Adi moved his arm over to the cage on his desk and let the dragon hop down from his shoulder, down his arm and into the cage.
Success!
