Toby smiled back at Quigley, because like... no hard feelings, right? He didn't mind the little mistake. But then... his own smile faded as quick as Quigley's and suddenly he didn't know where he stood (uhh... pun not intended?) anymore.

... The rule. The two rules. Conflicting rules. Right.

The sixth year worried his lip and went on looking between Quigley and Bellaire, not quite sure where this was going to go. When they were threatened with POINTS LOSS over the whole stand-up-sit-down thing, Toby felt an uncomfortable jolt in the pit of his stomach. He'd never lost a point IN HIS LIFE, and he didn't want to start now. And... he didn't want to upset anyone, particularly the professors, but that seemed... unavoidable? Guh. This was tricky.

Well, this WAS Quigley's classroom, and so he had jurisdiction, right? AND he gave the most recent order, so... Toby went ahead and sat right down, still looking between the two professors warily. He looked apologetic and downright torn and was sort of already wishing he'd skipped today.

This... was going to be a looooong lesson.
