Toby squinted down into the plant pot at his toadstool, still squeaking away, though now with a 'siLENcioooo' interspersed between every other 'cooooool'. It was still sort of cute... in an eye-twitch provoking sort of way. The Hufflepuff watched and listened for a few moments longer, before pointing his wand at it.

"Silencio." After jabbing his wand at the fungus, Toby waited... and waited.

Of course, he could still hear squeaking, though that could easily be from his neighbours' toadstools, right? Right.

Sooooooooo, Toby leaned right in again, got up close and personal with his Talking Toadstool, his ear as far into the pot as it would go, eyes all squinted as he strained to differentiate any sounds it might be making from noises from the toadstools around him.

He stayed like that for a minute or so, probably looking a little ridiculous but not caring all that much, before he decided that YEP, this toadstool had been properly Silencio'd. First try, too. Nice.
