The Gryffindor carefully walked up to the door and gave it a nice tap with his free hand, then took a step back towards the table to set down his things. Including the cupcake. Meredith was busy grading the latest homework assignment when she heard a knock at her door. It was a miracle! She'd only JUST been praying for some kind of excuse to take a break and here it was. Someone had been listening, clearly.

"Mr Adair, so lovely of you to stop by!" The Muggle Studies Professor had entered the waiting area, happy to see the flowers she'd put out were still in good condition. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" Kid was a total suck-up and she couldn't be happier to take advantage.
