Okay, Cole was making her nervous. Alex squeezed his hand and smiled up into his eyes, as he looked down .. Ugh. He was avoiding eye contact and that was definitely making her sure something was up. "It's okay." She kissed his cheek and released his hand.

"I love you too, Cole." But wait, love wasn't enough? She was confused. But not. Because she's heard this before only in a different form, with a different wizard, and it seemed like a million years ago. She was older now. She knew better. So she just held her breath for a moment.
