Swamp? No. Heck no. Dot stomped around on the bank of the swamp, careful to avoid splashing her shoes. She needed a hero. Someone to carry her across, or row for her. Anything. She wasn't going to go into that yucky mucky place. No way.
Only... if she didn't get across, she couldn't go to class. And she actually liked this class. And her friends were over there.
DILEMMA.
"FINE. FINE OKAY?" Dot stomped her way into a raft and splashed her way awkwardly across the swamp, sending up a rain of muddy, stinky water behind her as she paddled. This was her grand entrance, because she was NOT IN THE MOOD to put on a show for anyone else. Once her raft bumped up against the opposite bank, Dot climbed out and stomped into the classroom.
