Cosgrach was more amused by the portrait than annoyed, to be honest. He raised his eyebrows at her while the kids spoke to her, and once Aegis made perfect points, he nodded.
"What Aegis said, but a bit more kindly," he said and stepped forward, "Things are different and better now, Ms. Burke. Blood status doesn't mean anything." And just like that, he turned to the kids and his back to her. He didn't want to be detained by a portrait.
"Let's, uh... go on with documenting. Everyone note the portrait down and finish the corridor first. Check the special nooks and stuff as well. Write every detail down, please." Even he would document, see? He got his pencil, opened his notebook and started writing down what he saw.
