Maddox raised a brow at the boy's question. "Not if you're gonna ask like that." Honestly? Courtesy had been lost on this one.
"We'll try this again. I said good morning. This is the part where, out of courtesy, you return that greeting as opposed to contradicting it. Then, when I feel up to it, I will invite you in as this is my office and I have all right to not want you inside." Did he see where he was going with this now?
Courtesy? How many times had he heard something like that from His Head of House? And the man should be happy he had gotten out of bed at this hour! The teen scratched his head causing his hair to stick out on the side as he yawned and then rolled his eyes. He waited for a few seconds, looking straight at the new Professor trying his best not to look annoyed but then remembered the flesh eating slugs and roaches from detention and he had to look away. He hated to admit it, but this guy was a bit intimidating.
"Okay okay... Good morning" even if it wasn't and he was actually lying right now. So basically, courtesy was lying. He could do that. And he had the right to not want him inside the office? Then whyyy had he told him to come to his office at this time?! Obviously irritated, Kevin closed his eyes and counted to three in his mind.
"Can i come in?" ugh.
