She chuckled with Mariel's response to Rebecca not owling yet, "Of course she will, any chance to annoy me she is always present." The woman annoyed her more then anything else. "Right?" She always had a say in everything it seemed. "I just hope the school brings back the sport. We really need to come up with a permanent game plan if it doesn't. I can't stand the thought of all the talent slipping away." How many children, especially muggleborns, weren't getting a chance to fly because that school didn't have it anymore. It was just a shame. "I'm surprised teams are still even having Scouts right now." She supposed they had other places to scout out the talent, but with their main place gone it was hardly a position to hold. "Haven't heard of any retiring fully from Quidditch this year, have you?" She thought they might have one or two, but maybe people weren't ready.
She pulled out the flyers for the campaign, "I just got a few more of these, I was hoping you wouldn't mind if I placed them in a few places around the department. I've been putting some up around the ministry." She had been having visits as well with the other department heads, but she had saved Mariel for last since she knew most of her thoughts and views already. "Yes, I think that's important," Mariel nodded as Victoria made some notes about team representation. "Don't want anybody saying they didn't know or giving us any issues later." And she could certainly see that from a few of them, especially those with the worst offenders. She shook her head thinking about Rebecca Maroon. That woman really was a piece of work. "She will have to get over it and deal with it just like everyone else will." What choice did she have? She could always go back to Australia..
The brunette let out a low exhale of air. "Yes, really.. I am assuming they aren't having Quidditch this year either." She hadn't heard anything to the contrary and was sure she would have at this point. "Three years, that's getting ridiculous." And there seemed to be nothing more about that threat they had gotten for her to think it was at all viable at this point. She hardly thought that the sinkhole was related but it certainly should have been taken care of over the summer. It was frustrating. "I hope it doesn't come to that but I think you may be right, even if it's just a Plan B for us to fall back on just in case." While she was sure most of the teams appreciated their tryout sessions, it wasn't anything close to having players scouted. "No, Alexis is the only one that I have heard anything about retiring at all." It really did seem to be a quiet off-season, but she supposed that happened once in a while. "There are a few older players though, I wouldn't be surprised if a few ended up retiring after the next season." There was one or two in particular that she was thinking about which made her think of it. Her old captain and his wife. They had been playing for so long now.. and they weren't that much older than her. But they were getting to be past the prime age for Quiddith and she didn't like that feeling.
Snapping herself out of those thoughts, green eyes fell on the posters Victoria pulled out. "Oh, absolutely.. put them wherever you'd like." She wanted everyone to know that Level Seven stood behind her. Taking a quick glance at the posters, she smiled. "Those turned out nice."
