Honestly Zander’s costume was EPIC the most EPIC considering how he’d pronounced it in class.
... "At ease," he saluted calmly. Not that she was incorrect seeing as Spock had become a captain at one point in the Star Trek timeline, but he was paying homage to the Original Series today, the one in which Spock was not captain yet. So no, not entirely correct. No bonus points to you today, prefect. Quote:

"Why thank you, Miss Holiday," the astronomer saluted the first year. "And thank you for attending. Looking to be a Healer in the future?" Or perhaps it was a simple fascination with muggle professions that had brought her to her costume choice? Quote:

Oh wait...the suited figure was Adi. Grabbing some food on a plate he headed towards his best friend. "Hey..." "Evening, Mr. Atreyu," he greeted, offering the fifth year a quick salute. Quote:

The ghost was almost willing to overlook the date and its significance for certain others. Airey beamed at the Gryffindor ghost. "Stellar of you to have us, Sir Nicholas," he replied, instinctively offering his hand to shake and retracting it quickly. Business practices, whoops.
The man couldn't help but feel like the ghost was hinting at something - not so subtly either - but nothing was coming to the astronomer's mind. Quote:

Even if she wasn't very familiar with the series, she DID know that line. "This party looks amazing!" Rotten food aside, of course. Her attention turned to the area for the Extra Credit assignment before Nearly Headless Nick joined them. "Happy cross-quarter day, Sir Nicholas. I hope you are well."
... "Live long and prosper, Miss Carrington," he said in return. "You all are to thank for the decorations," he continued, giving the carved pumpkins above a quick wave. The food as well, but that probably went without saying. Quote:

Cilla sighed miserably as she picked up a pumpkin pastie. He was aware of the young Slytherin Miss as she made her way over - the teenage angst was strong with her it seemed - but the Hufflepuff prefect and Miss Carrington seemed to be tending to her needs, so he gave the group a small salute and then slipped away with another handful of roasted pumpkin seeds. Though he had put his costume together in hopes that others would understand why exactly he had come dressed like this. And maybe the laughter just proved that? Mayyyybe? Plus, it'd give him a chance to show that he learned how to say things the proper way now. Anyways, waddling was happening. Despite the fact that the costume was made pretty darn well, he only had two holes for his legs to go through and that didn't give much freedom for movement. Rather restricting. "I thought you might like it, Professor!" The Gryffindor grinned. Normally, the laughter would send him off into a very bright red mess. But it was kind of expected and even a little intentional this time... So he'd live with it. And oh, extra credit, eh? He could do that! Maybe not easily considering the er, choice of attire, but he'd try? "Are we allowed to get started on that, right now?"
... Airey gave the prefect to VERY enthusiastic thumbs up. "Best costume of the night," he nodded. So far anyway - although this one would certainly be hard to beat.
"Jump right in, Mr. Adair. The night is young but certainly won't stay that way." He, having learned from past experiences, was able to stop himself before his poor bedside manner got in the way again. Leave more morbid thoughts at the door and all that. Quote:

She GRINNED at him and continued strolling through the room, looking down at her arms with a mesmerized gaze as she watched the light bounce of the shiny material. Eheheheh WOAH. Shiny shiny shiny! Shiny shi-OOMPH.
... Now that...if he was allowed to use the term...was adorable. "Thank you, Miss Kittredge," he saluted. "You are looking quite stellar yourself."
Get it? HAHA! Quote:

Turning she called over to Professor Flamsteed. "Thank you for bringing along some food that we that are non-living can enjoy too." "Sir Nicholas was quite insistent on it," the astronomer chuckled. Truth be told, the food was the foundation of negotiations. No food, no permission to enter.
Wiggling his fingers, he wondered whether to try some bobbing for apple and risk his false eyebrows coming off...or if he should break the ice with the whole pumpkin growing bit. Students seemed to be a bit timid about starting any of the activities thus far.
OH! Save for the one Gryffindor prefect. Alright, that put her back at a neutral for her small mistake earlier.
