"Who would have thought an owl and a toad could be such good friends? You would have thought that Conrad would have gobbled up Gus the moment they met.'' Despite saying that horrible thing that came to him, he couldn't help but smile a teeny but. He was smiling because he could still see the two animals meeting clearly as though it happened yesterday.
The fifth year continued doodling but even though he wasn't paying attention to it, he had written AJ's name in the sand. Unknown to him, his best friend was reaching for his wand... and it wasn't until he saw a flash of red light and felt something weird going on with his hair that he looked up. "What did you do?" he demanded as he stretched his hand up to his head. Antlers! He had antlers made from his own hair!
The good thing about Benny casting that spell on him? Adi started laughing. Coincidence?
Okay maybe it could be that that connected them all. But still, if they stayed apart from one another it still effected their familiars. It wasn't as if they could get together much on their own, even if Conrad was a bit more mobile with his flight that Gus was hopping along the ways of the castle and grounds. "True...but Conrad isn't into eating amphibians anyway." If the owl chose to hunt it was more small furry creatures that Benny believed the creature preferred. Not that had really explained why the two animals were as close as they were.
Benny didn't notice the sand drawings anymore than Adi appeared to notice what he himself was doing or what he might be intending to do. For the spell landed upon his friend unhindered and it wasn't until it went to work that the Hufflepuff reacted to the changes coming down upon him. The fifth year frowns as he was questioned, the tone his companion used didn't sound so good and he almost wondered if he had made a big mistake.
That is until Adi started to laugh. "Now that is the Adi I prefer..." he mused, allowing his frown to turn upside down into a smile.
