Ah there, see? Better already. Ethan immediately felt less scattered.. and fancy that, he'd ended up at his own former house table, though he wasn't quite inclined to try and spot former classmates of his, or former students quite yet. If any spotted him and wished to chat then that would be fine, of course, but it wasn't actually his priority. With his wife at his side things were certainly looking up.

"You always do." He agreed generously. She didn't really, but what did that matter?

"No. Nobody." Or well... "Your brother. And his wife. She's rather round, isn't she?" In the pregnant sort of way. And he had something to show Annie. Remembering the copied picture, Ethan extracted it from his pocket, unfolded it, and handed it to her solemnly.

"Me." He explained. Except twelve year old him was a dead ringer for their son. And to Ethan's eye it made it easier to spot those Bunbury additions that made David both of theirs. He wanted to compare the picture with one of their boy from her office. Something that hadn't occurred to him to attempt before this night simply because there weren't a lot of pictures of himself as a child.

Turned out yearbooks were good for something.

And yes, he saw Hecate making eyes at him, and briefly thought it was a little bit sad that the former professor was still apparently so threatened. He'd take pity on her if he cared to, but he didn't. At least she had more to live for now than just the position she'd contrived to wrest from him. Had he cared more at the time he'd have done something about it.

"Is there anyone you'd like to speak with, Annie?"
"Robbie's here?" Annie seemed surprised to hear that. "And Delilah. Hmm. Well, I'll say she's round, she's probably due in less than a month." The redhead chuckled at her husband's description of her sister-in-law, whom she actually liked better than her brother. But that was the case with most people, anyway. Annie was just surprised they had come all this way for a silly reunion.

Anyway, Ethan was offering her a picture of himself, and she accepted it quietly, studying his face with great interest. "Look at that," she murmured, starting to smile just at the sight of young Zan's little face. "He looks SO much like you. Except for the eyes, he does have my eyes. Awwwwwwwww, my boys!" Her husband would know who she was talking about. Annie was just touched that he had thought to pull out this photo... or duplicate it, whatever, to show her! She patted his cheek for being so thoughtful, and then tucked the photo away for closer examination later. She was going to tuck this little one into the corner of one of Davie's framed photos in her office.

Was there anyone she wished to speak with? The redhead took a minute to look around at all the Snakes mingling by this table.... sure, there was the former Minister, Greingoth, and his Potions Mistress, Hecate.... Anastasia looked right at them and then back to her husband with a brow raise.

"No, no one I particularly WISH to speak to...."

"I feel old everyday." Hehe. He squeezed her hand, and opened his mouth to say that he'd love to meet this Amelia and also that they did have to donate some, but his best friend showed up at that moment and he beeeeeeeamed at the man.

"Nigel!" he exclaimed in his cheerful mood, "of course you aren't. Come now." They already knew each other, so he didn't introduce them to each other. "How are you?"
Except, here was one. "Cosgrach!" the Headmistress called out his name pleasantly, then started over toward where he was standing, tugging Ethan with her of course. "Cossy, you remember my husband Ethan?" She'd taken him to Cosgrach's wedding of course. "Ethan, Cosgrach teaches potions for me now. He does a wonderful job." AND he hadn't set a single student on fire in his tenure....so far.....
