Kate caught that blink. And that glance. She suddenly had the impression that she was in the way of something. That didn't bother her, though. She just wanted to figure out how to do this Arithmancy, and then she'd be on her way. "Are you okay?" she decided to ask. He looked like he was suddenly caught off guard by something very, very embarrassing. Maybe she didn't even want to know what that conversation he'd been having with that Slytherin girl was all about.

Kate waited while he checked over her work, and then she nodded in reply. "Okay. That's easy enough," she said. "Thanks again!" Now she'd be on her way.
