He was making sound progress... and though his star holes were a little shabby looking, he thought it was effective enough. It'd do. Go figure he sucked at theory and he sucked at star-in-pumpkin-carving. He was on a roll today.

"How're you going with it?" he asked Hady, finally setting down his wand and giving up.

The stars were done, it was the best that he could do.. and he wasn't about to ruin another pumpkin retrying - even if that were an option. Zeke quickly sketched down his work in his notes again, the image of his carved pumpkin front and centre.

He checked over his notes again to see what was next.... ew... the paragraph, already? Ugh.

Magically cleaning off his hands, Zeke turned his page and took up his quill. Where to start? What did his textbook say?
Zeke wanted to know how she was doing? How was she doing exactly? So far she'd gotten nowhere. Like all she'd done was decide which constellation she was going to carve into her pumpkin. It wasn't very far at all.

"I haven't gotten very far..." Hady admitted quietly shifting her gaze over to her Gryffindor buddy, tapping her quill lightly on her desk. "So far all I've managed was to pick which one I was going to try."

Sighing quietly and chewing on her lip she began to make a sketch of the constellation Pegasus. It wasn't all that good really but it was enough for her to continue on with the next step.

Carving. Keeping the parchment with her sketch beside the pumpkin she set down the quill and picked up her wand pressing the tip lightly to the pumpkin. "Punktumus!" she muttered softly but with intent and force, the wand tip changing into that of a blade and easily poking a small hole into the pumpkin. Twisting her wand a little she somewhat was able to make a small hole which she hoped resembled a star.

One star down and several more to go.
