Nikolai wasn't about to let his wife know that he was GLAD she had decided to wear that particular dress.

He knew that, if she got up on that dance floor, either he was going to have to go up there with her, and the very last thing he wanted to do was have to dance horribly in front of all these people, or, he was going to be stuck at the Hufflepuff table, alone with people he didn't really want to be left alone with. That thought was actually worse than dancing with his wife. At least he liked his wife.

His nose wrinkled at the mention of that influence, and after stuffing a few forkfuls of salad into his mouth, he pushed the plate away from him and turned all the way towards Mia. They could get food somewhere else afterwards, right? Right. "How could I forget?" No, really. How could he forget? Because he wanted to. "Something about third world countries, the removal of right arms.. and me needing a Healer." Was that all? Nope. He just wasn't going to bring up anymore. Nik gave Mia a poke in the side before leaning forward to give her cheek a kiss.
