"That's true...anything can happen!" He looked at her and could tell she was upset and frowned. He made her sad. That wasn't his intention. He picked at the grass between his legs and glanced at her. "I'm...only asking because I don't think I understand all of this...not because I don't like you.... Mum says it's hard to keep a relationship if you aren't near each other. James moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her to pull her close. "I say...let's play it by ear," he gave her a cheeky smile and kissed her.
She laughed at that. "I honestly couldn't even picture you as anything but Ravenclaw." Heh, especially not Slytherin!
"I know, my mum said the same." she said softly. She really hated this feeling! She never cried and rarely even felt like crying, but now she did and didn't know why. A small smile appeared at his words about not giving the 'best friends' part up no matter what. She swallowed and moved close into his arms. "Let's just promise that if it looks like one of us might be hurt we talk it through no matter what and make a decision." UGH, meaning she really should do more thinking about it now too. "I want us both happy." she whispered to him.
