Nothing happened though...they just fluttered around him. "Dummy it's Oppugno!." Aegis pointed his wand directly at the Birds while yelling the Jinx...Letting the Birds change course and started swarming at the Snake instead. Aegis tried to dodge the Slytherin's Disarming spell next. He attempted to turn out of the corner as quickly as he could be was hit while moving he was hurled backwards and lost his grip sending his wand further behind him. Groaning as he leaned up onto one arm, and looked forward at both Zander, and Agatha. "THAT KID WAS SPYING ON YOU!" Aegis jerked his finger up and directly into the corner of the small space they were both hiding in.
Great! Gregoire messed up the spell!
Well, at least the Gryffindor now no longer had his wand right next to him. But he was calling over to the other two in the hall! Of course he was! He'd worry about those two later, right now, he had an angry mob of birds coming after him. Though, they could be dealt with easily. Gregoire was dealt with two options, reveal himself by moving away from the corner, or by casting the Counter-spell, 'Finite'. Considering the fact that Gregoire would still like at least some cover, he went with option B. Pointing his wand at the swarm which had nearly reached him at that point the Slyhterin said
"Finite!" A cloud of feathers exploded in his face causing him to cough and gag a bit. Nearly falling over, Gregoire caught himself using the support beam.
The first part of his plan half-succeeded, now for the second part of his plan. Pointing first at the area in front of Aegis' wand he said
"Aguamenti!" A jet of pure water shot out of his wand, covering the floor around and underneath Aegis' wand with water. Leading the stream over, he made it so that the water covered the area around Aegis, but far enough so the water didn't touch him. Otherwise the next part of his plan might just kill the poor boy. Which Gregoire didn't want to do. Then continuing the water flow in an area that the two others were by, but not on, the floor was covered in pure water.
Good, that part of his plan was a success. Now for his third and final part. Gregoire pointed at the water on the ground and said
"Glacius!" The snake watched as the ground where the water was started to freeze in a matter of seconds! Now, the floor around Aegis and his wand was icy, and Agatha and the Gryffindor prefect couldn't get to him without having to cross the ice. This could either be his great escape chance and payback moment...
Or it could be just another slippery downfall.
