Also, yes. The assumption about Ravenclaws being the smartest wasn't necessarily true...because Gabe had several subjects he personally needed help with. Of course, they were the more practical of the lot. Defense, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures...Divination? He's barely scraped by on those particular OWLs due to the written portions..."I might take you up on that.....actually." It was okay to need help...Gabriel was realizing. Caleb earned another smile. "Are you any good at Defense?"

.....and about being Prefect...again..."Ravenclaws are more...assertive than I thought they'd be." Understatement. "......I assumed it'd be the Gryffindors that'd be hard to deal with..." Jeremiah was mild mannered, sure...but he was a lone Lion. The others were usually a rowdy bunch...from what he'd seen.
"A bit, I like to think I am," Caleb said with a chuckle. "I mean...I always win against the dummies," he added with a grin. He was finding that the best way to get to this kid was through humor. Let him know he wasn't very serious and scary and he was laid back. He seemed to loosen up a bit.

"I think every house has some stubborn kids in it. I sometimes wonder if people forget that Slytherin means cunning and ambitious, not pig-headed, mean and stupid," he grumbled. He'd been thinking that a lot lately. He wondered if people...sort of played into their role as a snake more than they would had the house not had the reputation that it did.

"Well, it can only go up from here for us, yeah?" he added with a small smile.
