He grinned brightly at the enthusiastic greeting, though a small lice in his headway telling him he shouldn't be pleased when Rorie was so unhappy, he brushed it guiltily aside. "Thank you, thank you. Is it really the greatest House ever?" He asked, his eyes flashing with amusement.

Yeah, he was taking in the beauty, alright; just probably not the beauty his friend had been thinking of; rather he was discreetly admiring Bianca's thick, soft-looking hair and the curve of her pretty pink lips. He cleared his throat. "Are all the Common Room this amazing? Also... What's with the rock?" He needed to know.

"Thank you, Mr. Blonde," Damien said, grinning and raising a glass in greeting to Zander. He looked a little stressed and Damien felt a bit bad, it couldn't be easy helping out with all this stuff, especially considering how rambunctious everything seemed at the moment. "You alright? Have some punch, or butterbeer, you look kind of...out of it." Damien said, finishing off his own butterbeer.

Ah....That was the question wasn't it? The Hat had seemed confused for a while and Damien wasn't sure all too much himself... "Honestly? I have no idea. did you?" He asked. It was a personal question, but then, Zander had asked first so he didn't feel bad about it.

Damien saw the wave, hard to miss really, sen with everything going on. "Hey Puckenstein, fancy seeing you here of all places." He joked, winking playfully at her. He'd been about to ask her if she wanted to take a plunge with him, but then she'd started talking to Zander and... Ohhhhhohohooo. Damien had not expected Zander and Puck - Pander, Zuck, Pudar, eh - were a thing? Huh, actually maybe he could see it.

Oh look, someone was awing at him that he didn't know, cheerfully, unabashedly, the boy smiled and ward back at the young woman. As of yet, not one ugly girl in the whole school.

SPOILER!!: Abbi!

Yeah-pants, hoodie and sneakers it was for her.

She'd passed earlier to get to her dormitory but it was only now that the fifth year truly took in the common room surroundings. It looked HELLA RAD. She loved it and WAS THAT BUNGEE JUMPING? SHE WAS SO DOING THAT. BUT. Lesson number one to Abbi. What always came first? THE FOOD SNACKS.

Sort of in an excited rush, she went to check that out and couldn't help but beam as well as grab a cupcake for herself. The nomming began straight away and it was now that she was forever more glad she hadn't overly stuffed herself at the feast.

NOW. Company, who was there that was cool? Pity she couldn't see the boyfriend but hey maybe that was a blessing in disguise. It meant she didn't have to be so cautious with boy hugging and bla bla, not that Lucas ever said anything but yeah.

So hello to you Aegis and was that, that Damien guy? Beams for the two of them. Next she spotted the Professors, Airey, Medea and hello to Miss Bubbly-personality looking and Mr ten outta ten! hotness rating of course. And PREFECTS. Hehehehe, the tough responsibilities they were going to have, yeah Abbi didn't want one of those tasks at all-except just maybe the power but she didn't need a BADGE to be swagster! No ways! Either way they got beams too and waves, all of them that was.

But serious questions now. "Professor, will this become a tradition thing? Like, can we keep it?" Please?

Figuring he'd go and load up on sugar so he could jump again later, Zeke passed by Puck. "Thanks for that, it was super awesome, you should go for it." Yep. Take this advice from a second year. He could still feel the adrenaline buzzing in his limbs. Sugar. Chocolate. NOW.

In all honesty, he wasn't fazed about what kind of sweets he ate, but chocolate was perhaps the best staple that ever lived in the dessert world. So, yeah, he wanted some. Approaching the edibles he couldn't help but notice a girly stuffing her sleeves with the stuff. "You planning on eating that yourself?" he asked. What was her name? He'd watched her sorting, but couldn't remember. It was one of those WEIRD names, meaning, one he'd never heard before tonight.

Zeke plucked a chocolate frog pack for himself and set about opening it, ready to snag the chocolate - he'd had enough of he five... ten... fifteen second rule. Bloody things.

Nemo saw the wave from Puck and moved over in that direction. "Hey, i guess i escaped the interrogation at the feast?" He smirked a little because Puck began asking him about his girlfriend but he didn't exactly finish telling her, he assumed she'd be amused because of how Anti-relationship he was last term.

Then their head of house was speaking, Nemo found Flamsteed to be a very interesting person. He was odd, but more like quirky but he liked him enough. Plus he was always going on about things like Star Trek, Nemo had a special love for muggle things. Maybe he'd have to ask this professor about muggle things he should get into.

Damien was there but he seemed to be socializing, Nemo would wait. they would catch up at some point.

Nemo looked at the Brunette introducing herself, she seemed a bit younger. "Hi, I'm Nemo It's a pleasure to meet you." He held his hand out to shake A.J.'s cause manners are important. Did she think he was new? "It like it quite a bit, Just as much as last term so far." Was that too snarky of a response? He certainly hoped not..

"Pleasure is all mine." AJ took his hand and gave him a nice and firm shake while keeping eye contact. Her dad had always drilled that into her head. He said it was important, and she just took his word for it.

Nemo was sarcastic, she liked it. Normal people would probably be all awkward right about now, but not AJ. The lion simply shrugged. Apparently she had been wrong. Nemo definitely wasn't new. How did she miss him these past two years? The answer to that question was pretty obvious... Adi. She did manage to pay her boyfriend quite a lot of attention. AJ would just have to be more observant from now on.

"Well then, I guess you already know how awesome Hogwarts is." It was too hard to keep up with all the people. Hogwarts was a castle for crying out loud and there was always something happening to keep AJ's mind occupied.

SPOILER!!: Puck
Puck smiled when she heard Ægís claim he’d still go after her. What? She had thought it was one of those either or situations but no, he was really sweet. “Aw thanks…..” she had no idea what to call him but still glanced over to AJ as she heard her introduce herself to him and congratulate her too! She grinned to her “Thanks AJ! I’m excited and nervous honestly” she admitted and smiled to the younger girl. Hey and Nemo was over there, “Oh…yeah right the interrogation” she laughed and grinned at her friend. “I mean, c’mon there was so much drama that I got distracted especially seeing all the drama at the feast” she laughed and grinned at really ALL of the people around her.

"You're welcome." She did seem to be excited, but that could be because they were in the middle of having a rocking party. Well, it would be rocking once AJ had her go at the bungee thingy. "I'm sure you will do just fine." Nervous was a feeling that she personally didn't get very often, but she was a "grab life by the horns" kind of person anyways. This chick couldn't be any more Gryffindory.

Puck was going to be different than Lex, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. People did tend to have different personalities. Time would tell how cool this prefect would turn out to be. If the conversation with Zander went well she would need Puck on her side too.

SPOILER!!: Meredith & Maddox

In the middle of being a social butterfly, AJ noticed that two more professors had shown up. Whhhyyyy were there so many adults here? This wasn't going to end up being a lame party, was it? Oh, new faces. The woman was loud and looked like fun. AJ was diggin' it. The man... well, he was a sight for sore eyes. What thought just went through her mind? Merlin, she needed to get that under control. AJ was not boy crazy, and she had boyfriend and the guy was old. Old and hot. No, no, NO.

What subject was he teaching again? AJ's thoughts went back to the feast, but she couldn't remember who was doing what, and she didn't see his face that close up. And this conversation with herself was over. "Hey new professors... will you be joining us?" Her eyes lingered over the contraption that she was dying to get on.

SPOILER!!: Kevin
"Yeah yeah, wait your turn" Kevin told AJ as he saw her standing near him , also interested in the bungee jump device. He still didn't know how it worked though. That was until a voice explained it to him and after he was done listening the Gryffindor rolled his eyes.

Did that newbie professor think he was stupid or something? He might not be a Ravenclaw but he wasn't dumb either. "Really now?" he answered sarcastically and grinned. "Oh but as a new Professor you probably don't know this but it is tradition to let them go first" without another word he jumped back in to the room and grabbed his arm. "Right AJ?" he asked her. He could use some help with trying to scare the man.

Cheeky Kevin was cheeky. It was refreshing that some people stayed true to themselves and AJ could take sarcasm. In fact she actually liked sarcasm, and to interact with people who could take it as well as dish it. "No need to get your socks in a wad. I won't be taking your turn." Not yet, anyways.

Kevin was talking to the cute professor. AJ didn't let her facial expressions show that anything out of the ordinary was going on inside her head. Instead, without missing a beat she agreed with Kevin. "He's right, professor." She could have just left it at that, but it didn't seem as convincing as she would like it to be. "You wouldn't want to go breaking tradition at your new job, would ya?" No pressure, but this was lion territory. Go big or go home.

SPOILER!!: Benny
As more and more fellow lions joined them in the common room, Benny began to realize just what had transpired with Professor Flamsteed. The clues were there as some had even started clammering for the chance to jump themselves. He himself could wait...bungie jumping wasn't his prefered way to fly and after the feast they had all had...well. Let's just say the fifth year wasn't sure it was the greatest idea at the moment. He'd settle for staying with his feet on the common room floor tonight.

Maybe the defense professor was also not a fan of the featured activity. She certainly seemed just a touch out of sorts. "Thanks," he returned as Romanos welcomed him back to school. "Uh huh," he said with a nod. "How was yours?" If she was willing to answer it back.

Ah....there was the astronomer, the man suddenly reappearing through the open window. Benny followed suit, raising his own mug of hot cocoa at the proposed toast. To another great year. "Good evening, Professor," he greeted after lowering his mug and taking a sip.

Debating his next move, his attention was caught as his name was called. The older lion turned to spot AJ and he shook his head at her question. "Nah...not that I know of." It did make Ben wonder where she had gotten to and he looked around for the familiar form of the girl's mirrored image. So far all he noticed was the added presence of two more professors into the mix. "Good evening Professors," he greeted out of politeness, not quite sure what to make of the new staff members just yet.

Hmm... so Angel wasn't in the dorm, and she wasn't down here. Where could that girl be? AJ wasn't in the mood to go and hunt her down because she wanted in on that bungee action. "I guess she'll turn up soon." Because what else was there really to do when everybody was here?

"Maybe she got caught up with Abby." The two of them had something to talk about, she thought. AJ wasn't at all interested honestly though. "Are you going to give that a go?" Her finger was pointing over to where people were waiting to jump. It didn't seem like Benny's style, but you never know.

SPOILER!!: Zander
Just as he had began to make his way towards the snacks, he heard a familiar voice approaching and oooh, AJ! The other Valentine. It was strange really, he knew this one better than the other, yet, at the feast... He'd only seen her sister. But... That was probably due to the fact that Angel had been one of the first at the table and by the time most of the others came around... He was swarmed. #WARFLASHBACKS

Ahem. Seeing her outreached fist, he was hesitant at first, but then met it with his own. Fistbump. Yeah. He knew those. More of a high-five kind of guy, actually, but fist bumps were just fine 'hello's too. "Hi there," he smiled at the woah, very eager lion. And the badge thing. You know, it was actually very hard to forget that he was wearing one when so many people seemed to take notice of it. Though, he hoped that it would... lose it's glimmer soon because sometimes he kind of did want to forget. It was a bit nerve wracking, you know? The constant reminders and expectations. Not at all what he planned for. "Um, thanks, AJ... Means a lot," that she thought he deserved it. Though in all honesty, he wasn't sure if he agreed. Should have gone to Benny. But aaaaanyways, "...... What kind of important things?" he asked rather suspiciously and maybe just maybe, a little nervously too. Hopefully it wasn't about unicorns again because that side of AJ was a very scary side of Aj, okay? "The bungee?... Maybe... But once everyone else gets a chance," uh, yeah maybe not. "Are you?" Of course he already knew the answer. She was practically bouncing just at the sight of it.

When would Zander fist bump with emotion and pride? AJ hoped that him being newly badged would make him be more sure of himself, but the hesitation was noticed. No biggie though. Not everybody could be as bold as she was, and that was okay. "You're welcome. You are going to rock it." If you had to be stuck with the miserable task of being good then you might as well make the best of it. Adi seemed to do okay with it, and as much as it sucked that AJ had to be better than normal sometimes when she was around him and others, it really wasn't that bad. It wasn't as if she went around looking for trouble or anything.

Erm... AJ bit her bottom lip. It was super hard for her not to blurt out everything right there on the spot, but she knew that she maaaybe freaked Zander out a bit at the pet shop and didn't want to go messing things up. This was important. "Just some suggestions." That was one way to put it. "Nothing to worry about now." With all the ears around.

He looked as uncertain as Benny did when the bungee was mentioned. AJ on the other hand had to talk herself down from knocking people over to get a crack at it first. "I bet it will be amazing. You should try it." If he felt more comfortable waiting until the others had gone, then so be it. That was one less person that she would have to wait for before it was her turn.

SPOILER!!: Angel & mentions of Chance in here
Angel decided that she would come into the common room after all being fashionably late was a diva thing right and one day she was hoping to be famous. "Good day Professor Romanos, Professor Flamsteed." Angel gave her best smile to them both. "I trust you both had a great summer?" Angel then suddenly realised that there were two professors she had never met in the room as well. "I hope you two had a great summer as well?"

Angel then saw Benny and AJ and smiled. "Hi sis." Angel looked at her sister, well she was still in one piece that was good right. "Where you been hiding?" Angel had missed her sister like crazy even though it hadn't been long since they had seen each other.

Angel then turned to Benny. "Hey, what did I miss?" Angel whispered, she didn't want to be left out of anything though the bungee jump thing was totally a no go, she didn't do anything like that.

Well, well, well. Look who decided to join the party. AJ was late all the time, but Angel managed to arrive even after her. She knew the reason for AJ's lateness and Angel's were two totally different things. "Hey, Angel. I was just looking for you." Kinda sorta.

"You didn't miss much yet." That question may not have been directed towards her, but she answered it anyways. "Are you going to try out the bungee with me?" AJ didn't need anybody to hold her hand, but she hoped her sister would give it a go.

Hiding? "I haven't been hiding." Maybe Angel needed her eyes checked. With all the hustle and bustle it was easy to miss people. Somebody else had arrived. ”Hey Chance.” Now that was a cool cat there. AJ remembered flying around on a bean bag chair with him last term. Good times. Good times.

SPOILER!!: Zeke & elf!
He heard a SUP ZEKE? and turned to see AJ there. Grinning was kind of constantly happening tonight, so his features didn't change at the sight of her, they just remained there, which was a good thing.

"Not much, yet," he answered with a half shrug, "gonna have a turn on the bungee soon though, you doing it too?" Cause it looked AWESOME!!

Yeah, the night was pretty early and she hadn't even consumed any snacks yet. This was the first year that she made it a point to speak to every single person in her common room. You could blame her being in high spirits on Adi. AJ was a happy person by nature, but she was beaming from ear to ear.

Finally somebody seemed to be as excited as she was about this whole bungee jumping thing. "Heck yeah. I can't wait. I'm pretty sure it's going to be epic." How could it not be?

Then a elfsie appeared and her concentration was shot. Man, she really wanted one of those for herself. This one was sooo cute. "Hey there, what's your name?" The elf was busy though. Apparently he/she liked stealing food. Somebody always has to mess with the prefects. HA!

SPOILER!!: Amur
She wasn't going to push Mr. Pink Shoes, up or down the stairs. Literally or figuratively. That really wasn't her place. Nope. She had just wanted to let him know. She stepped back off the last step, seeing that the boy really wasn't having any of it, giving him a soft smile. There was still some hope, some that he would take her advice and try things again.

A distraction however, came from a rather chipper greeting behind her. Blinking, Amur turned about and as usual, had to tilt her head up to see who was speaking to her. She didn't know the girl's name, but she decided that on principle of her spry attitude, she liked her. Grinning up at the girl, Amur bobbed her head. "Thanks! I appreciate it, very much."

Did the girl know she'd likely have lots of questions? "I'm Amur Neverwinter." You know, just so she would know who would be a constant pester. And then she was off, greeting left right and center like a free house elf.

"You're welcome." Look at her being all helpful; Adi would be so proud of her. Maybe he was rubbing off on her. Hmm... maybe not, maybe so. Either way that wouldn't be such a bad thing. AJ just really didn't want to go soft.

Amur. That was a nice and unique name. "Pretty name." Had she introduced herself yet? Her mind went completely blank. Deciding to play it safe she slyly reiterated it, just in case. "Well, Amur, anytime you need anything you just remember that I'm AJ." Was that slick? Either way she knew her name, and that was the whole point.

SPOILER!!: Airey
"Good evening, Miss Valentine!" he saluted the girl. "It was most enjoyable." And he even managed to not venture a glance towards Medea this time. "A bit busy with Astronomer Royal business and then National Space Centre work as well, but still stellar. I hope yours was relaxing and pleasant?"

Was it just her or did her head of house seemed a tad happier than usual? He was by nature a pretty cheery person, but something seemed different. Oh well, there wouldn't be any complaints from her. A happy professor usually meant a lenient professor, or so she hoped.

"I'm glad. My summer was pretty epic." There was Adi, Benny and Angel and of course some baseball. All in all she couldn't complain.

SPOILER!!: Damien
Oh look, someone was awing at him that he didn't know, cheerfully, unabashedly, the boy smiled and ward back at the young woman. As of yet, not one ugly girl in the whole school.

He seemed to be super popular, and busy with others around him. AJ noticed the smile and the wave, and she turned her attention back to bungee jumping. Was it her turn yet?

The man cleared his throat, pushing aside any looks of distraction and offered the young man a nod and a smile albeit forced under the conditions of knowing the heights these students were jumping from. "Good evening. Not eager to have a go at it yourself?"

What's this? A badged one making his way over. How...responsible. Maddox's eyes fixed on the boy at his approach, noting what might have been anxiety in the way he walked but of what the boy was anxious, he couldn't say he knew. Didn't really matter either, the man could use a distraction from the concept of jumping from this dangerous height. Honestly, whose great idea was it to make such a thing as heights ANYWAY??

At the greeting Maddox studied the boy for another moment before giving a regrettable shake of his head. " 'Fraid you've wasted your greeting, son. I'm the new Caretaker. Mer, here, is the new Professor. Your Head of House brought me here to check that the ropes are workin' fine but I see he's already got you lot jumping so there's nothing I can really do now except maybe enjoy the food then turn in early." He glanced around the room just for the heck of it then looked to the boy again.

"You're one of them fancy Prefects, right? You'll let me know if anything needs repairing?"

"An odd summer it was Miss..." Didn't know her name. Shame that. "Spent it chasing werewolves through the Highlands. Nearly lost my head a few times." He lied with a grin. "I trust yours was equally eventful?"

In truth it had been an odd summer, for many reasons but...werewolves would never be one of them. Canines were a no on his list, a BIG no. Filthy creatures.

Another one by the window presumably all for the ridiculous purpose of jumping. Didn't any of them have eyes functioning enough to see the drop could kill them if the rope decided it was done for the night? Good Merlin by now it was getting late, he reckoned you couldn't even see the floor unless your face was a few inches from it.

"Hello." He replied, watching her, just watching but occasionally his eyes would flicker to the window. "Are you the one manning the window tonight?" He'd have thought Airey would pick someone with a little more arm muscle going for them...just in case.

WHY did the students of this castle feel the need to GRAB him when making their points. First the little Ravenclaw trying to drag him back into the Great Hall during the feast and now THIS one trying to kill him and his friend was trying to help. Sweet Circe this really wasn't his day, was it??

"Fancy tradition but I'm not a Professor." He said, removing the boy's hand while being careful to NOT look at the window OR think about the height he'd go splat from. Heights. Always had to be heights. Why couldn't they jump from the ground floor, eh? "Just the Caretaker here to make sure the rope doesn't do you in but a couple of you have already tried it and it's safe enough for my liking."

He took another step away from the two and the window, taking on a casual stance and sliding his hands comfortably into his pockets. "The Headmistress will be pleased to know you lot will live to see another day. My work here is done. " Get away kids. Shoo. He wasn't jumping.

And then Airey happened.

Maddox wasted no time in removing the man's hand from his shoulder before this got completely out of hand. "As fun as this all sounds, it's like I've explained to the boy. Not a Professor. No need for me to do the jump. I was here to check the ropes and that one kid screaming my eardrums off just proved that they're functional." And a COUPLE steps taken away from the astronut for his own safety because Airey was the type to throw you through a window...or so he would tell everyone and worse if he had to.

"I can just...uh...enjoy the food--I can help the students enjoy the food. It's not problem for me. Honestly."

Funny choice of wording given everything he'd done all night but yes, honestly. Honestly, Airey better back away from him before they both regretted it. Not hyperventilating either. The subtle but strained breathing...the air was just a little thin up here was all.

The poor fella was on the ground trying to pick up every kernel.

"Hey hey. Don't worry about that, there's more bags." Not as fresh or yummy or buttery as this one had been, but he would forgive this stranger this time. And ONLY this time.

"I'm Chance Coeur." Chance said, holding his hand out to help the boy up.

Hearing his name, Chance looked up and heard a familiar voice. Puckster. He gave her a smile before looking away. It was bittersweet. BecAuse there was Beezey with a guy looking at her the way he had last year. Since Puck and Beezey were beasties, he had a feeling he wouldn't be hanging out with Puck a whole lot. Breezy and him had had a chance. Obviously it hadn't worked out and even though Chance still liked her, he had to get to over her.

Cough cough. Smile smile. Onward and upward!! Chance wasn't one to be a stick in the mud. He looked back at the boy. "Ill help you up."

Oh and look, Maddox was already getting on well with the students. *SNORT*

SPEAKING of the little lion cubs, those with good manners or some deep need to suck up to their professors were being polite and saying hello to their elders. "Professor Moxley," Meredith said with a good old waaaave of her hand and toothy grin. "I'll be your muggle studies guide." How excited were THEY right now? SO EXCITED, obviously. And look, one asked how her summer was. "Summer was grrrr-eat! Took some salsa dancing lessons with my guy," She announced, doing a little one-woman demonstration just so they could see what a NATURAL born dancer she was. "I know, right?" She said in response to what would CLEARLY be looks of awe. "The moves just come so naturally."

Whaaaaat a little suck-up, Zander Adair was. Meredith approved, of course. Meant the badged blonde would probably do whatever she asked to get on her good side. "Pleasure to meet you, Zander. Professor Meredith Moxley, Muggle Studies." She reached out and gave the boy a rather aggressive pat on the shoulder and beamed at him, trying not to SNORT when Maddox went on to tell the kid her was the groundskeeper, of all things.

"I think the best way our new groundskeeper here could test the ropes is to get out there himself, am I right?" She gave expectant looks to the kid for back up and then grinned at her buddy. Serves him right for lion (GEDDIT? Lion...lyin...LULZ) to impressionable young Hogwartians.

Annnnd about time to test just how desperate little blondie was to please the professors. The brunette made a sound resembling that of a kicked puppy and held a hand to her throat, making her voice extra croaky as she announced, "My throat is suddenly so scatchy. I could sure use a beverage."

You could always count on good old Rocketman to be thinking along the same lines as she was and when the man suggested they take their turns jumping, Meredith nodded very seriously.

"It's only right we get it over with so the kids can get back to their fun. I think my friend right here should be a gentleman and show me how it's done so I won't have any questions when it's my turn." She batted her eyelashes at Maddox and then winked at Airey. Yes, she was in on this plan.

And look, another person inquiring if they'd be jumping. It simply HAD to be done now! "Why we were JUST discussing that, actually. Where do we get into line?"

"Thank you. And thank you." Yes, much thank-yous. "I won't forget. AJ." She was sure whatever the initials stood for, it was pretty and matched the girl's friendly personality.

Actually, come to think of it, she could use her help right now, yes she could. "Do...do you know who the Charms Professor is?" She had a broken book she needed fixed, sooner rather than later too.

She was just finishing tucking the last frog up her sleeve when the kid who had taken the first plunge over the balcony and lived to tell the tale, the kid-that-had-lived, slid up to the table and the slightly depleted bowl of chocolate frogs. His words caused her to jump a little in surprise, heat rushing to her cheeks.

Of course someone was bound to see her, she hadn't been very discrete after all, but for some reason she hadn't considered that someone would. Cautiously, she eyed the boy, trying to discern if he was mocking, challenging or honestly inquiring. She knew boys who thought that girls couldn't match them in many things: running, sports, strength, eating and sleeping. She also knew that she could prove a few of them wrong on a select few of those accounts, notably the later ones. Was this boy one of those types of boys? Was it a challenge?

Seeing no glint in his eye, but rather a steadfast concentration on his own frog package, Amur concluded that curiosity must have been his motivator. She shook her head. "No. They're for later. They're my arsenal."

Rather proud of the fact, she patted her arm to make sure the frogs would stay in place before poking a thumb over her shoulder at the Prefects and the house elf. Zander still seemed to be notably perturbed, but PP seemed to have come to the same conclusion as she herself had. "Chocolate frogs, or any chocolate really, is a great peacekeeper and tension-smoother. If used right, it has the potential to solve problems before they even become problems."

Did he get it?

She had turned to face him, to see if he had reached full comprehension or not, when she found that strange, fascinating and terrifying man staring at her. Her eyes went as wide as saucers, her hand pausing right in the middle of pulling one last frog from the bowl. Had he seen her? At the table? Stuffing frogs up her sleeves?

Was that what that salute and smile meant? Was she in for it? She should have known better! After all, the cookie incident had nearly gotten her in trouble with Tippin.

Inching her way over to the boy, Amur squeaked between him and the table, as the Professor hiding herself behind him like a squirrel trying to hide on the opposite side of a tree from a predator. There was enough room between the boy's arm and his side to peek out from to check if the Professor was still watching her, and check she did.

SPOILER!!: Zander

Quite a good thing actually. Although, it did mean he’d have to watch out in case of any loose dung bombs or whatever it even was that Puck handed over to him.

But anyways. Relaxing. That sounded like a very, very good idea. And even Puck agreed, thank Merlin. He didn’t want to find out he was the lazy Prefect out of the pair! “Mhm a s’mores party sounds fantastic! Especially ‘cause I’m not all too hungry to eat a bunch just yet,” But by the time their Prefect afterparty began, he’d definitely be craving some nice snacks. “Yeah a movie’s a good idea, or... we could even just sit around and talk?” ‘Cause if they were gonna be coprefecting… Might as well get to know each other a bit, before anything major happened. Or worse, before they got flooded with all the work for OWLs.

:what: WAS HE REALLY GOING RED?!? Oh Merlin. Of course he knew exactly why he went red when people mentioned the summer, but to have someone tell him that he was going red… All too embarrassing. Which didn’t even help because he was going even REDDER now! Thanks, Puck. “I-uh-I… I just can’t help it… I’m really trying not to…” But wait? “You can… What?” he questioned as she stopped mid sentence and NOW HE WAS CURIOUS.

Noticing that Puck had joined in on the House Elf scene, he gave her a look that meant ‘he got your food too’? Hmph. RUUDE. But oh? What was that…? Had Puck just slipped a chocolate frog in his pockets? “Thanks,” Man. talk about embarrassing moments. WAIT, PREFECT PUCK SAY WHAAAAT? Poooop it out?!! UH. O_______O “Yeah, if that’s the case… I don’t think I want it anymore.”

And then. She kissed him. Granted it was on the cheek. BUT STILL???? Uh. Pink his face was SO beyond pink. “I-uh-I” Yup. Stammering. So Prefect. Much responsibility. Very Awkward.

...... So Toddles... Didn't take the card? "Okay, I believe you Toddles," he sighed, not even bothering to look for the card on the table. If it wasn't there-- Actually, no. He wasn't even going to think about that. Too much frustration could not be good for anyone. He didn't need to get Botros wrinkles so soon, you know? "Just make sure you don't steal again, it's quite rude." And very mean. Especially when it came to chocolate frogs, might he add.

Zander just opted with a small nod, as he didn't have a glass in hand. Though, the question did throw him off guard a little, he just nodded and put on a small smile despite how completely exhausted he was feeling after the long day. "Yeah... I'm--," Actually no. It had been one of the longest days of his life and he had to talk to so many people and everyone swarmed at the feast and no he's wasn't actually completely alright. "I'm going to be alright, once this day is done, I reckon. It's been exhausting." Even that was a bit of an understatement. "But uh, Butterbeer does sound nice," he smiled knowingly. Butterbeer was always nice. Or maybe he needed some chocolate, seeing how the elf STOLE his.

And oh. Well that question backfired real quick. "Me?" Did he feel he was in the right place? "Well... At first I remember doubting it. A lot, actually... And it didn't help that everyone else doubted me to," again. Warflashbacks to third year when Zahra... Yeah. That happened. "But, I reckon even if you don't feel like this is the one right away, you will eventually, you know?" He certainly felt it now. Mostly. "They say that the hat's never wrong. Even Lux, who says she should be here, with us, knows that she's a badger deep in her heart." Merlin, all that stuff about honorary lion. Did that even exist? "But if you don't feel it.... I guess that's okay too." And why was he still talking? Ooops.

Turning around to head over to the snack table, Zander noticed another familiar face arriving to the party. Welp, better late than never, right? Smiling at Abbi he gave her a small wave. Hopefully she'd enjoy the party. There was really something for everyone, unless you were that grump of a kid who left early. He was a rotten one anyways, so it was whatever. Not like Zander was still feeling upset about that. Pfffft. Okay a little. Or a lot. But he wasn't going to think about that now, okay?

The Gryffindor gave the younger girl a warm smile, really he was still having doubts about this whole Prefect thing, but it did kinda help to know that people believed in him. Especially AJ, as Zander really did admire how bold she was. Mhm. Even said it to Flamsteed last term. They weren't blanket finding ninjas for nothing! Whatwhatwhat!! Ahem. Anyways. "Thanks, AJ... Hopefully I won't screw things up," and hopefully he'd be able to live up to standards that all the other amazing Prefects set. Especially Lex 'cause she was awesome.

Zander couldn't help but lift a brow when she mentioned making a couple of... suggestions? What. "Um... Okay, well... You can just find me any time you want to talk then..." Though coming from AJ the term suggestion didn't really sound like she'd be suggesting anything at all. More like pushing her ideas through and being all passionate about them and making Zander feel super guilty if he didn't take them into consideration. Did that even make sense? Because that's definitely how he'd feel. Definitely. But his housemates had to feel comfortable coming to talk to him now, so he really couldn't turn it down. As shifty as 'suggestions' sounded. "I'll probably spend a lot of time in the study area, this year anyways... So you can always check for me around there?" OWLs, they were going to be the death of him.

"It does look like a lot of fun," even he had to admit. You know, maybe he'd just go on it when everyone else left. Things were just a bit too chaotic right now. "Are you going on?"[/COLOR]

SPOILER!!: LIAR LIAR and TAKER-ADVANTAGE-ER ahem. I mean.. Professors

.... What? Not a Professor???? Well now Zander was BEYOND mortified. He was supposed to know what he was doing!! For Merlin's sake he had on a badge! GAH. "Oh, uh... Sorry, Sir..." Caretaker. Since when did Hogwarts have one of those? "The food is pretty good, I recommend the s'mores, but erm... Why would you need to check the ropes? Professor Flamsteed would never put anyone in danger..... Right?" RIGHT??? Merlin forbid something ELSE went wrong on the first day. Anyways, at least the second half of what the Caretaker said was kind of relevant though? About the other too-old-to-be-a-firstie and too-new-to-be-anything-but-a-new-Professor woman.

And with that, he turned to face the woman in mention. "The pleasure is all mine, Professor... Professor Moxley," Heh. SEE, he was doing this thing right. Man, he could probably even give the likes of Sophie Brown a run for her money! Zander may not have the rest of the returning staff on his side for his OWL examinations, but at least he could (hopefully) count on this one's vote. Maybe wisdom did come with age. The wisdom to wooo Professors!!! This was AWESOME!

Catching all her implied looks, Zander gave her a small shrug before turning to the Caretaker. "Yeah, I reckon that's right... You'll... Erm, get a better look if you're using it first hand?" Actually, that hardly made any sense at all. And Zander was confused. And why the looks? But um, if this Moxely Muggle Studies woman wanted him to say it, then he would. Good side, remember? He was going for it. Going for the GOLD, or in this case THE O's!!

Again, eyes on Mr. Caretaker. "Well... I'm really not that fancy," he still ate food with his hands, okay "But I am a Prefect," he nodded to confirm too. "I'll certainly keep my eye on any.... uhm.. Dangerous rope situations?" Like what was the guy expecting to happen exactly? And ooooh what was that horrible noi-- Ahhheeeeeem. Not that any noises Professor Moxley made were horrible. Pft. Who said that? Not Zander. Nope.

"Oh uh, it does sound a bit horse!" Beverage. okay, he could do that! "Right away, Professor!" See, she was taking a liking to him already. He could tell. And with that the Gryffindor ran off to the drink station and poured her a glass of water... No wait, what if she wanted butterbeer? Okay a glass of water AND butterbeer-- Wait. What if she wanted Pumpkin juice? Okay, yes he'd just bring all three. And within three minutes, he was back with THREE whole glasses filled up all the way with different drinks. BEEEAAAM. The walk over was kinda scary given all the people he had to walk around though. It was a miracle that nothing spilled, really. "I wasn't sure which you wanted... So I brought butterbeer, pumpkin juice, and water. So you could choose." Should he just take the O now ooooooooooor?

Puck was still blushing after that cheek kiss when she heard Damien call out to her. “Fancy seeing you here too” she laughed and glanced around. She could hear Zeke calling out as he returned to the platform. “Of all the common rooms in all of the world Damien Anderson you choose mine?” She grinned and then saw the look on his face.

Wide eyed she shook her head and made to step closer to her friend. “Iwassayingthankyou” she squeaked out and nodded rapidly. Saved by the not-exactly-her-dorm-mate-dorm-mate. Puck grinned over to Abbi and WAVED as she saw her.

Hello Campbell she would have to hang with her later. Yep. AND ZEKE had returned so it was her turn wasn’t it to take the plunge. Soon. She had to catch her breath first. “Oh I’m glad! I’m going next after you” she grinned and planned on finishing up some conversations before throwing herself off of the tower.

“Thanks Aj, oh I’ll try” she grinned at the younger Gryffindor before she was caught off guard by the Professor. “No, nope not the muscle I’m the next jumper” she grinned as she stepped closer and further from Amur and Zander but not that much further really.

Toddles wanted milk…? Did they even feed the house elves. “Toddles, I want to talk to you later okay?” She asked kindly and smiled to the little elf. Puck glanced over to Chance and smiled, “Hey Chance” she called over to him hoping he would you know be friendly about things…yeah sure Chance and Bianca hadn’t worked but they could still be friends right? Puck then glanced a Professor Moxley and smiled. “There probably are drinks on the table over there,” Puck indicated to the snack table or you know there was a house elf in the room. Puck grinned at Amur, “Yes…exactly chocolate is great – if you ever need any I know someone who sells it” Puck grinned and thought about friends from other houses for a bit and wondered what they were up to.

Puck laughed, when she heard the comment about s’mores later and nodded. She agreed whole heartedly. “Great idea…and talking yes, sounds good” she nodded abruptly and glanced at the ground before laughing when he was even more red after she had mentioned it.

“Yeah he took my marshmallow thingy” she sighed and glanced at the fact her hand was foodless. After all this wasn’t awkward at all. “Oh…I was going to say that I can make people think you have a different reason to blush…like now” she shrugged and began to stand up. AFTER ALL her work was done.

“I’ll…be back…hopefully” she gulped before standing up and heading to the platform and attaching herself to the ropes. She was ready. Strapped in. “LETS DO THIS” she beamed and dove off of the tower, the wind biting at her cheek as she plummeted in free fall for a moment. This was much better than awkwardness.
