All the good stuff makes up for those kind of occurrences." She took another large bite of her sandwich and successfully resisted the urge to peek at Ariel's notebook.

But she really wanted to know if the girl was writing anything about her.

"Mhm." But It wasn't so cool, really. She was writing to her dad and it was very hard to convey the trauma without sounding like she wanted to go home immediately. She only sort of wanted that. A larger part wanted to stay and find out if last night was like every day or not.

She opened her mouth to ask Sophie something, but the other girl was chewing..and humming? That was....disgusting. But the that must be what happens when you aren't eating with your parents all the time. And building breakfast sandwiches. Then, when Sophie finished, and Ariel got the courage to try to talk again, she started up. It was okay, though, since it kind of went with what Ariel wanted to say anyway. "So...that lady that was here last night - the one talking to everyone," the ghostly looking one, "She's not usually around?"
