As chipper as could be, Soph arrived to breakfast fully dressed, smelling good, and looking good - there was still a little flush of pink in her cheeks from her run, and she looked ready to take on the world. She had to leave CB behind because her best friend was way too kind and sweet and wanted to stay back and make sure all the first years and transfers felt like they knew where they were going, so, with a starving stomach from having worked out, she made her way toward the Ravenclaw table alone, scoping out the present faces for someone to sit with -
Perfect.
Very casually slipping into the seat beside the quiet girl, Ariel, Soph helped herself to perhaps too large of portions of scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon, then very calmly proceeded to snatch up two pieces of toast and work on constructing a sandwich of the breakfast foods.
"You a writer, Ariel? Or just journaling about how this school is crazy and your peers are dumb and started a fight the very first night?" Soph wasn't looking at the fourth year's notebook, very polite of her and all, and was very casual in her tone - she suspected that attention in general made the girl uncomfortable, so she was trying her best to not be a totally scary older cool girl.
Which she totally was. Eh hem. Ariel gave a glance to the new arrival the moment they sat down. It was Sophie Brown, the talkative one, and she sat close enough that surely Ariel would be the victim again. But to her pleasure, Sophie took a while loading her plate with breakfast. Long enough to mentally prepare for the conversation anyway.
And when she was spoken to, Ariel giggled softly. "Both, actually," she answered. Another glance went to the older girl....who had very strange eating habits. She took a bite of her own eggs, then kept writing. There was a LOT to say about the past twenty hours.
