But soon another boy appeared, and Dima thought him less ominous than the horrors spiked all around him, so he gave him all the attention instead. He looked out of place? "Well, of course I do! You do as well. We're standing in a vegetable patch, and we're not vegetables." Wasn't that the DEFINITION of out of place? He squinted at the boy. "Unless someone performed a reaaaally good transfiguration spell on you." See? Everything was suspicious-looking in this place. The Groundskeeper will probably look just as suspicious. The man did know how to disappear all of the sudden, so perhaps he was the only one who could blend it and belonged here.
That was unexpected, to say the least. The boy's reaction amused him to a point. "That seems to be quite obvious," he started to say, a smirk growing as he thought of the boy's next words. Transfiguration. Oleander was not only named after a plant, he was also a vegetable in disguise according to the one standing in front of him, "I wonder...," now he was curious, "...how can you tell I'm the result of outstanding magic?" Keep in mind his words are technically correct. Oleander is, in fact, a result of outstanding magic. |
