But soon another boy appeared, and Dima thought him less ominous than the horrors spiked all around him, so he gave him all the attention instead. He looked out of place?

"Well, of course I do! You do as well. We're standing in a vegetable patch, and we're not vegetables." Wasn't that the DEFINITION of out of place? He squinted at the boy. "Unless someone performed a reaaaally good transfiguration spell on you."
